I thought Halak played really well tonight. I don't think you can blame him on any of the 4 goals. And of the rebounds he did give up, there are WAY less that are of the "scary as ****" variety. We really need him to be confidence and confidence is what he's gaining.

Let's just not do the same with Pacioretty for now, that's all. Let's see if he can keep this up...
You think the league has figured D'agostini out? I think we'll have our answer when Koivu comes back.

If the other team is covering him more, then they will be leaving someone else open (and that theory works alot better when the open player is Koivu, Tanguay or Higgins than Chips or Begin)!

People are forgetting that D'Agostini was still scoring without Koivu.

It's all circumstance. We don't have the roster space to wait for D'Ago to get scoring again when Higgins is just around the corner. It's okay, because we know for sure that D'Agostini will have a spot on the roster next season.

It would be embarrassing for Gainey to trade Tanguay, but that's what I think he should do. Tanguay, an impending UFA, already makes a lot of money and he's a soft player. Other UFAs are more important, including Koivu, Kovalev, and Komisarek. A place should be made for Pacioretty.

Can we really afford to break up any of the 3 top lines at the moment?

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Kovalev
Kostitsyn - Lang - Kostitsyn
Lats - Lapierre - Kostop

No way I want to break up any of those lines the way they've played the last few games (Especially not the 3rd line, they bring exactly the grit/energy this team needs, they can grab momentum for the habs at any time) . So what gives?
Those lines are staying the same. IMHO, Tanguay-Koivu-Higgins will form one line with Begin and Laraque riding the pine. With those players healthy and a strong PP, this team will continue to be a goal scoring machine.

Oh but after Tanguay's fast start everyone was proclaiming we should re-sign him ASAP and let Kovalev walk?

Sergei Kostitsyn !! woooooooohooooooooo !!

What a beautiful clutch goal !!

Sure D'agostini is not scoring, but he is way in front of Kyle "Useless" Chipchura !!

A line of Tanguay - Koivu - D'Agostini would look good. Mr. Christopher Higgins can eat popcorns and hotdogs in the press box with other useless players, known under the name of Begin and Laraque.

Chipchura and Weber are the players that will be send down once the injured guys comes back no doubt...

There are two things different from this year's Montreal and the last few playoff caliber Montreals in the past

1) We have players that can sit in front of or are sitting in front of the net.
2) Even if we have forwards injured, we have such huge depth that we can still do great without those forwards.

Pretty much, unfortunate for Chipchura. He'll play 82 games next season.

he'll get traded to a team who has played 2 fewer games than the bulldogs and end up with 82 games.

Of course he does, but Andrei had done that with them as well. Type of player Pleks & Kovy need is a physical guy willing to take punishment to keep the play alive, and park himself infront of the net. Andrei has had some success doing it, but Andrei's style of play is made for him to lead a line (like Kovalev does) rather then compliment it. Thus why Patches is such a good fit for them. In my opinion.
