Thank you Bob for Pacioretty!

Wow. I love this guys. This guys is a NHLer and i really hope there is room for him when the injuried player come back.

Some whine that we should have select Perron, and, excuse me, i really think that pacioretty is a better player!

In bob we trust!

I'd rather have Rivet back at 4 mil than Georges and Pacioretty.

LOL at getting this guy 22nd overall. What a steal.

So many organizations were asleep at the switch.

Kane, VanRiemsdyk, Turris, Hickey, Alzner, Gagner, Voracek, Sutter, McDonaugh, Cherepanov (RIP) and Esposito were selected behind him.

Jury may be still out on Hamill, Couture, Ellerby, Eller, Shattenkirk, Plant, Gillies, Cole and MacMillan, but this was a 2007 Draft. I'd just say it was a very, very good first round.

In 2 years, we'll laugh at many of those names going before Max Pac. Couture, Ellerby, Plante, Gillies and MacMillan especially.

Couture and Gillies going where they did should have never happened. Both teams wanted centers and skipped on Esposito and Cherepanov. I understand the Russian scare on Cherepanov and how Esposito was being questioned, but even then, by no means were they expected to be better players (Gillies is a monster though).

Anyway, I'm just saying, its silly for us Hab fans to be all, "Neener neener we got Pacioretty!" but when it comes to the Lucic argument, its, "Wait for Maxwell to mature". You can't have one and not the other. Lets give the draft a few seasons, then we can start bragging

2007
1st round - 12. Ryan McDonagh
1st round - 22. Max Pacioretty
2nd round - 43. P.K. Subban
3rd round - 73. Yannick Weber

2005 : Price, Latendresse, D'Agostini, Sergei K.

Message to George Gillet and Bob Gainey: When it's time to resign Trevor Timmins, give him the first number he comes up with.

I knew that draft wasn't weak. 2007 was an awesome draft, especially for us.

McDonagh
Pacioretty
Subban
Weber
Torp

Imagine, we could have had another 1st rounder as well if Bob would have traded Souray away instead of letting him walk.

Who knows what other high draft pick we might be bragging about right now?

After Price, Montreal's future is with this kid... He is going to be a true top line player by next year IMO... and what perfect timing given Gainey will probably not be able to re-sign all the top guys...

Max Pacioretty is the PERFECT winger to play with Alex Kovalev, He can follow up with his speed, doesn't mind getting his nose dirty in the corners, stays put in front of the net like a true powerforward laving Kovy with more space to set-up his plays, makes great passes. I know that he probably won't continue at this pace for very long just like D'Agostini, but man is he ever promissing for the future, it's what we have been dreaming for years....

He's NHL-capable right now...

He sees the game at the same speed as everyone and is on the same level as everyone else physically as well!
