Hey, great to see our beer thread back up.

I like some of the winter ales a lot, mostly been drinking the Widmer Brrrr and of course Full Moon.

No Deschutes Jubelale for you?

I'm not a big fan of winter ales. They're always a bit too thick for my liking. Although Anchor Brewing's Christmas Ale is usually pretty tasty, but I haven't tried it this year.

Jubelale isn't bad, I just wouldn't buy it over many of the others. I do like Deschutes products in general though.

As much as I see people posting about Yuengling around here, I sure wish I could find someplace to buy it.

Many states dont allow "small" breweries beer in thier states. I live in Fl and get Yuengling here since they bought a strohs brewery back in 01. You cant get it in GA, Al, TN, LA, or SC. I have found it in Durham NC though --- West of the Mississippi -- slim chance

BTW -- are you six sigma trained -- I am!

Now that I am legal I don't have to drink ****** ass natty light anymore

Right before the first semester ended I treated myself to a nice little 6 pack of Sam Adams Winter Logger. I really like the taste of that beer. I might be heading up to Ottawa in February so you guys will have to tell me where to go and what to drink if I go up there.

Way to go on making your British accent come across with the written word!
Could you sound any more British? I guess if "Tidy" was replaced with "Tally-Ho!", that would be something.

Yeah. Fat chance. I should check out this one store here in Portland that is known for its extensive beer selection. Maybe they might carry some Yuengling. I haven't had a Yuengling Porter in yeeeeeaaaarrrrs. If they have it, I'll let you know. I also wouldn't be surprised if there's some online souce to have it delivered (at an exhorbitant price) to wherever you live.

Last night we had a stable call (a Cav thing where everyone drinks heavily) and we had two hours where we were allowed to drink. Technically you were only allowed two beers but that rule wasn't enforced. So, people like me ended up drinking as much as possible for two hours.

Generally at these events there is only horrid beer like Coors light. However, Yuengling, Victory, Stoudts, and Troegs all donated beer so there was a brilliant selection including 22 ounce bottles of Troegenator. Good times, good times.
