Broken stick help

I was playing hockey at a local pond today and a friend of mine broke his easton synergy 300 right at the blade, I asked if I could have it and he said take it. So my question is would I be able to get a new blade for it?

Yup. I'm not sure if the 300 is tapered or not though, but you should be able to check. Saw it off as low as you can to make the bottom square with a hacksaw and take it into the store. There may be part of the blade still in the shaft, you'll have to cut up the shaft in small increments until there's just a hole. Don't go any further then that. Ask to see a standard and a tapered blade, compare them to the bottom of the shaft. Buy the right sized one.

well you don't need to cut it until the shaft is hallow. cut the blade where you want it the top of the handle to be, than they'll flip the stick and put the blade in the buttend.

Doing that ruins the flex point of the stick, but if it doesn't bother you, a standard blade will fit at the top.

You should also be real cautious about doing that because the top is a lot thinner and is not built to take those kind of torques. It'll break a lot easier on shots if you put the blade in the top.

I would put it in the bottom and use an extender at the top if you need to. Better performance and durability.

Agreed. Flipping the stick upside down should be your last case scenario.

If your just playing outside with it, I would just flip it as its the easiest. Plus, you got it for free

Know if the Synergy 300 OPS is a tapered or not?
