i talked last year with a fan of Lincoln in the ushl and here is take on conboy (noted:lincoln and omaha are huge rivals in the ushl)

As for Conboy, yeah...he's one of those guys that you hate to play against, but love to have on your team. A Sean Avery type of player, but much bigger. He is very effective on the PP...Omaha parked him right in front of the opposing goaltender. He picked up a lot of PP goals right in front...dirty goals I guess you'd call them. Not afraid to fight, but the knock on him was that he'd run away from some of the top USHL heavyweights in the league, and only fight with smaller guys. He just runs his mouth on the ice too much for me. He wasn't a captain or an alternate, but you'd never know with the amount of talking he did to the refs.

Here is Conboy's last USHL fight card. Doesn't looklike he was picking smaller players.

Earlier years maybe but he might of been bigger than most in his age bracket so he had no choice but fight smaller players.

An aging Laraque, a willing Stewart and rabid Conboy would make the Habs a realy mean team. Plus they can all play the game of hockey!

Well apparently Conboy plays the same style and pulls Milan Lucics from time to time so we've got to be excited about this!

Like I just mentioned on the draft thread.....we could've gotten us a Lucic....if we hadn't picked Quailer. We'll see how Qualier develops 'cause I do have some faith in that pick....But Ian Schultz was available and St-Louis picked him 1 pick after Quailer's...

Actually he is a Blues pick but he's a Calgary native.
