Dallas wanted it more, and props to them, but a team doesn't come out and play this poorly without reason. Especially after winning 6 games in a row in dominating fashion.
So you're saying, they went up 3-1 after the first period, then at some point during the break they figured they'd just stop trying altogether and focus on their next game already?

Not buying it.

I forgot about that. What's weird is that it seems like every team Dallas plays, they point out that Modano is well over a point-per-game in his career against them. You'd think he was destroying the league. They rarely point out how crappy against a team he is.

Of course, Razor was doing the national broadcast.

Seriously. Please have a friend videotape your reaction to getting "nipped" in the face with a hockey stick while you run by. You have to get hit hard enought to split your lip open.

I fully admit it would probably take me to my knees, and I'd bet you'd have the exact same reaction as Ribeiro too.

You have 2 perfect examples of Ribeiro being an ***hole.

1) The Montreal fake spearing

2) Slashing Osgood in the chest.

There is no need to manufacture one.

I'm not either. They just plain sucked tonight. Without Turco's immediate reversion to a rookie junior player whenever Datsyuk steps onto the ice, we'd be done. The Stars played awesome, even Turco when he wasn't facing Datsyuk. Stoned Hossa and was fairly solid otherwise. The Wings just plain and simple **** the bed tonight.

Its nights like this where it looks like 80% of the team is comparing Cup rings on the bench that I seriously wonder whether the Wings have what it takes to repeat. God knows our 4th line should probably just be lined up out back like farmer's old cow. Figuratively speaking, of course.

sad.

It seems Detroit fans can't let anyone else feel good about their team ever - even when the red wings lose it was because they weren't trying and the other team got lucky.

Big win for the Dallas Stars to keep them above .500 we're coming for the playoffs!

But in the end it was an amazing game. I'm amazed Detroit hasn't allowed 50+ shots in 1 game since the late 80s... ? Crazy..

Glad to see Dallas was the one that did it!

Ribeiro falling I think was okay.. he just threw his gloves off to cover his face.. I bet the initial reaction was he thought it was much worse and wanted to stop any bleeding.. not to mention he tripped himself over the goal post. He was cut up.

Osgood played PHENOMENAL. Some of those saves were disgustingly awesome. Mass props to him and Datsyuk.. (Sick goal)

Regardless how do people make any excuse other then Dallas earned that victory that's all it comes down to. Datsyuk and Ozzy were the only ones worth mentioning from Detroit.

Only in Gary's NHL is Dallas an above-.500 team.

We're 18-23 in my books.

Agreed with the first part of your post, though. Seems there are a select number of Wings fans who appear quite bitter over this loss, when really they have very little to be upset about, given the canyon-esque difference between these two teams so far this year.
