At the risk of getting a warning, you really are useless fool when it comes to fighting and intimidation. Kostopoulos doesn't protect anyone, he simply moves in after happens, brigning the other into the penalty box for 5 min to try and cool him down after most likely getting a beatdown yet again. We don't need a Colton Orr or a Jared Boll who will just drop em for the hell of it, that's not our team's phylosophie nor has it been for over 20 years. Laraque wasn't brought in to be our goon. He was brought in as a policeman to prevent dirty stuff from happening, especially when we're winning games by a large margain, point in case would be (yes i know i'm repeating again) that game we won againts Ottawa with Chris Neil doing absolutely nothing because he knew the 1st thing he tried he'd get pummeled just like Gratton or Peters or Fedoruk. He is usefull when he's healthy, that's the problem right now, he's not out of shape, he still wants to play for this team, he knows what his role is. He's injured and has been since the start of the training camp, and it's about freackin time you get it threw your thick head

listen the habs gotta come out stronge hit hard and komisarek has to destroy lucic with his hits when he can we can't let this guy take advantage of out team and with laraque out its time to show boston and lucic we don't need him to play them and were not scared of this team we have the team toughness so I think habs will win tonight

As others have said, Laraque is a policeman. He provides something no one else does in the line-up.

The reason Pacioretty or D'Agostini may soon be in Hamilton? Note our depth:

Pacioretty-Plekanec-Kovalev
Kostitsyn-Lang-Kostitsyn
Higgins-Koivu-Tanguay
Latendresse-Lapierre-Kostopolous
Begin-Chipchura-D'Agostini
--Laraque

Teams can only carry two extra forwards. By my count, that's four. Guess who goes down without waivers?

Simple as that. Short of this Lecavalier trade, they'll go down on the numbers game alone.

Gainey said as much in his press conference. Basically, that it's not imperative that they remain all year. If there is room, great, they're doing good work, but eventually decisions must be made.

Well, if the Lecavalier trade does happen....

Pacioretty-Lecavalier-Kovalev
Kostitsyn-Lang-Kostitsyn
D'Agostini-Koivu-Tanguay
Latendresse-Lappierre-Kostopoulos/Laraque
Bégin

Now that's a line-up!

If I were him, I wouldn't play much pickup. When you play like him outside organized league it's called "assault causing bodily harm."
