I can't understand how Andrei got 5 for that? The guy went side on into the boards. The cross check is a penalty, but the problem i have with that one is that its not a penalty when a ruins player does it for some reason

Things I liked:
The Brothers with Lang just fit, it's a great offensive line.
AKos is lighting it up, he was robbed of two goals and made a sick set up to Markov, could have easily picked up 4 points tonight without Thomas' fluky goaltending.

Things I don't like:
-The Lappiere line plays wayyyyyyyyy too much. I understand they are playing well, but we were on a pp, which has been on fire and you put on Lappiere's line, that's a big no no.
-Why does the Lang and the bros line play only 20 seconds? They were the only line generating threatening offensive
-Chris Lee kills the momentum of games

The effort was there, it was a tight game, Boston got a lucky second goal on a five on three

You really really don't want me to go back in some ex-GDT when we were beating you and it was always the refs fault. How the Habs kept diving and so on...And go on, visit other team's boards and you'll see that in a loss, often the refs will get it....We have an history with ****in Chris Lee and that's the problem. In the end that phantom penalty gave you guys the win. But we should have been able to overcome it.

Still you didn't read our GDT but I keep saying how we should've put more effort, drive the net and play better. Thomas is a big reason why but mostly it's Julien's system that does the job.
I wont argue with that. Honestly, I didn't even see that penalty call... Other than that it looked like a fairly called game. Thomas stood on his net and was ridiculous tonight. I'm just happy we didn't have to face Price.

Glass houses my friend.

Every fan-base blames someone. A look at your own would reveal that the Habs have never won a game in the NHL without paying off the refs.

Chris Lee should be fired right away, that loser sucked all the habs energy with his stupid antics.

Put that first period aside you you will see that there was not much we could do in the third once Booins got the lead.

agree 100%, this team needs a dman asap, one who can actually play defense and help in the pp

Boston scored the first goal 10 minutes before the 5-3.

Anyway, don't want to troll, good game from both clubs I thought. Considering the injuries on both rosters you knew it would be a tight checking game, and it was. Montreal has some pretty good depth there... game could have went either way.

Thomas was frickin outstanding, as was Halak. Kid could be a #1 somewhere else if he remains consistent.

Chara had his best game today probably. Hope this keeps him on the right track.

Sturm-Bergeron-Kessel-Lucic-Ference

There's a whole PP UNIT that Boston was missing.

Plus, it would be nice to have Higgins and Koivu back, but neither are renown finishers in front of the goal. Higgins can do it, but not consistently.

Ok game for the Habs ...

The way the Bruins get away with a helluva lot of hooking/holding/interference when having the lead (could go a long way in why their record is what it is), bodes well for them because that is the way playoff hockey is called. I feel it's clear the Bruins are the team to beat in the east, Julien has them playing a very disciplined system, and they very well could go all the way as long as their goaltending holds up. The Wings and their speed/puck control style would likely take Boston in a 7 game series though ...

Habs aren't sniffing the cup this year with Breeze and Bou logging top 6 minutes. Montreal needs a JayBo more than VinnyLe.

The last goal was the only legitimate goal, Bruins still win, Habs have no one to blame but themselves, our only goal was on a PP due to a crummy penalty, same with Bostons first two goals.

Blaming the refs is weak. I don't like the call on Kostitsyn, but Montreal ended up with a 4-3 on that and couldn't capitalize. Thomas was great and Montreal couldn't bury its chances. Meanwhile, Chara was an absolute beast. I didn't watch the entire game, but it seemed like he was always on the ice, and always stopping Montreal's forwards.

Agreed but we were not talking about the Bruins, I said this team needs a true number four allowing Gorges to drop to 5 and boullion to 6 with Brisebois spelling Boullion fro time to time. Lecavalier is not what Montreal needs. Montreal has been one of the top scoring teams going on 3 years in a row now. Montreal needs a big physical D-man who can hit.

They need a Josh Gorges but bigger!

LOL
He shouldn't have checked (and let the Bruins player ice the puck easily)?
What kind of reasoning is that ?
It's hockey.
It was the correct play and a great hit.
He didn't deserve 2 minutes.

add vinny to this lineup

we will have whatever line he is on performing every night

when koivu comes back..he will give it his all every night

the lappy line will give it their all every night

the 4th is all about energy

and that is a recipe for success...talent putting in the effort

a game like this is where we need kovy to step up. i didnt even notice him. he dissapears in big games. that will not help us at all. i still cant believe people want him back next year over a koivu.

The call on Andrei was absolutely BS and sadly, it was a game breaker. Soon as they got the lead, the Bruins played a extremely defensive playstyle and they won.
