We haven't seen anything in this thread other than 2 still frames. Show me a video. That shows it was boarding.
Man you folks are reaching.

Those two still frames show exactly where Kostisyn hit Ward (on the back for those of you with Red, White and Blue glasses on).

Video requires a conversion from MP4 and that's time consuming, I'll start on it just for ***** and giggles, but c'mon, you guys aren't that big of homers are you? You want to argue Kostisyns hands were on his back?

Thomas ran away from nothing. He moved TOWARD the scrum that his actions caused and looked ready to take someone else on if they came... which I note that despite having his ability to do serious damage to another human being limited by his bulky goalie armor, NO ONE was man enough to do.

you need more than 2 frames to show if a hit is dirty or not. i watched the replay a million times, kostitsyn pushed into ward when ward turned out of the corner, and ward's shoulder made contact with the boards.

then again, i'm just a red white and blue homer right? even your goalie admitted the hit was fine. give it up already.

show me the link where thomas admitted the hit was fine? all he said is it wasn't as bad as he thought. it was still a hit from behind, just not a viscous one. still deserved 5 mins

Someone has to tell CHipchura that he is not sapposed to glue his helmet on.

There is no way Stuart was going to get that visor off. He may as well have been weraring a full face sheild. No disrespect to Chips as he did the right thing but man oh man

If Ward had gone down instead of playing the puck, your argument would make sense...but he played the puck, he was fair game, and even at that, Kostitsyn could of did even more damage had he not let up

ridiculous
Did you watch the game? Someone needs to find the full replay... and yeah "Fair Game" is a term you can use loosely...

If you know a guy is hurt (just assume for a hypothetical) do you think an NHL player should run him into the boards?

I have yet to see a Habs game where there isn't whining about the refs from their fans. Good to see nothing has changed.

Way to go Bruins.

"The Bruins goalie said afterward that he reacted to the sound of the hit, but after seeing the replay it might not have been that bad."

deserved 5 minutes for a "not that bad" hit? come on. if you weren't clearly anti-habs, you would say something about the crosscheck to the face by thomas. but it's against kostitsyn so it's fine right? hypocrite.

The habs get more power play opportunities than 28 other teams in the NHL, so crying about the refs is a bit much. That's the only point I was making.

You can bring up as many PK stats as you want but it doesn't change that fact.
