Sports Radio

Hey guys!

As a matter of fact, I have to work a lot more at my desk than I worked before. I thought it would be good to listen during that time to a radio station that covers North American sports, mainly hockey. Is there an online radio which is recommended? Oh, I would mostly listen to it between 4 PM to 11 PM CET which is 10 AM to 5 PM EST. Thanks in advance.

I didn't knew where I should post my request, but I thought it fits here the best.

Listening to sports radio is a great way to make work pass faster. I usually listen to TEAM1040 from about 3pm-9pm(EST, I think that's right). It's pretty Canucks-centric though.

All the Canadian cities have good stations that focus mainly on hockey. Fan960 in Calgary is another one...Edmonton is TEAM1260? Toronto has FAN590, etc.

I'm not to sure about American stations.

Lots of hockey talk about all the teams on the FAN590.

www.640toronto.com

Some hockey talk throughout the day but mostly about the leaves.

Just Click "Listen Live" Try them out & see if you like them.

If there's a specific team you follow, use the radio station that broadcasts their games...that'll be your best bet, since most of the radio stations are regional and you're not going to hear the storylines from around the league unless it's a big headline (for instance: Avery, Sean), and if you're not a fan of the team in the city it's based in, you're probably not going to enjoy talk about who the Flames 4th line should be. Most of the stations that broadcast games will be sports radio stations, although you'll probably get a lot of other sports as well. I'd say give that a try first, and if you'd prefer more hockey, then try some of the other stations.

I listen to AM640 at my desk but they only talk hockey from 12-1pm and 4-7pm (Eastern time, it's a Toronto station)

Does Edmonton even have a radio station?

Or are you guys still communicating through paper cups and string?

Edmonton has a sports radio station but it is not that good. Well below the standard I would expect for a great sports city like this. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
