you know most people cant seem to stand the guy, but i think comrie when used right is a solid scoring center, i wouldnt mind him at all behind staal. the canes have character, they need skill - id rather give you cullen cuz we have a lot of centers but if all you want is samson than its done.

Comrie could probably be had for a dance, if you have any interest in him.

Samson is probably a better prospect than most people think, I see Albany play quite often, he and Petruzalek are the most noticeable when they're on the ice. Samson is pretty good for a player who was never drafted.

oh i dnt doubt it, i just think he is ways away from being given the chance he probably deserves so i have no problem trading him for comrie, which would allow brindy to become a true no 3 center. we'd have to move cullen, but im so tired of this stale canes lineup i would try almost anything. comrie has skill, he just hasnt found a home really - i liked him with ottawa. maybe he is a d-bag, but its nothing a backhand from brindy couldnt help. the canes are the reclamation project kings of the nhl, and i always thought comrie could be solid in the right place.

I'd pass because of the first. As Sam said, that's a massive step back for the Canes.

I'd do this one in a second.
Alright, he was listed as a centre.

He meant:

Carolina: Antropov

Toronto: 2nd rounder + prospect, OR 1st rounder

No way Toronto gets a 1st round pick in the next draft for Antro. If TO gets a 2nd, I'd consider them to be very lucky and very fortunate. He's a very good player, but this coming draft is incredible, and every GM knows it.

id have no problem with either guy, but those deals will be tough for the canes to swallow. id prefer gomez but his contract is something the canes wouldnt touch. i forget, how much does drury make? surprised you guys would want to give him up, even if he has struggled.

never mind, i forgot he made that much. canes would never pay it.

Wellwood is kinda the odd man out in van i know he is not as good as some other guys being brought up but he could probably play on the second line with decent wingers. He would also probably come cheaper than alot of those guys. Maybe

Wellwood for F. Kaberle

kaberle is old but is not bad when in the lineup could help the nucks in there playoff push

Not really thrilled about having Wellwood as our 2nd line center. I think he's played pretty damn good this year all things considered but I think we need to step it up a bit. I'd rather go for antropov imo.

The OP said F. Kaberle for Wellwood. I dont care if Wellwood is sent to Albany the first day, as long as we move Kaberle Its a good deal.

Oh i see. Just from a contractual outlook. I say HELL'S YEA BOY!... but obviously Wellwood's not really the guy we want calling the shots on the 2nd line.

Leafs got a 2nd and a 5th for Hal Gill, and a 3rd for Kilger last year. I see a first being pretty much the base price, but I guess it depends which team it comes from.

I've already mentioned an interest in Antro and I would absolutely love Roy. The guy is so friggin fast and feisty and can put up points too! He's one of those players you really hate unless he's on your team. Since he's on the Sabres, I kinda hate him, but can't deny his skill. Franzen is a UFA at season's end, no? I don't think the Canes could retain him and I while I think he is quite a good player I don't know how well he would assimilate into another system.

Roy would be nice. Probably cost us a little more though.

would need to dump a fair bit more salary on you. What are briere's actual hit numbers per year? We definitely have cap space but it's actual $$$ that we care about in carolina.
