Your name and number on a Habs jersey

I have been to a few games this season and have noticed more and more people are wearing Habs (RBK) jerseys with their own name and number on the back of them.

For example, Tremblay 22 or Mancini 16 etc.

What do you guys think of that? I mean I recently purchased the RBK jersey with the centennial season patch and the all star game patch and have been contemplating doing this.

Any advice, feedback?

Well I think it's kind of lame...I wouldn't do it with mine. But if a lot of people are doing it, maybe it's ok..

It's just that each time I see one of those, I'm always like : ugh...

People should put whatever the heck they want. It's their own jersey and there is no 'unwritten law" about having to put a player's number and game. Those that think there is are taking this "fan" stuff way too seriously.

A portuguese name would look odd on a Habs jersey.

Well at least you know you'll never be traded, which is always the risk you take when you get a player's name.

lol...I still think that is the coolest jersey of all time.

My last name has 11 letters in it. I'm way too cheap to spend that much money on lettering.

Just add the letters OV to the end of your last name TDG. You can just tell everyone that you're Russian.

It's lame. You don't play for the team.

It's idiotic if someone has #9 with another name on it. Way to disrespect.

What about your own name + the "C" or "A"?

If you only put an "A" on, does that mean you have an inferiority complex? I mean, putting your name on it is playing fantasy anyway, why would you limit your fantasy at alternate captain? lol

I watched the movie "Porkys" when I was 11, and never forgot this infamous moment in the restaurant, when Michael Hunt is paged over the speaker.
