The best thing to do is to put the name of a legend like Béliveau, Richard, Robinson, etc... so you can wear it during many many years

Didn't Beliveau once say that he'd bring his number down if Lecavalier was to come here?

Silly for lecav to have jeans number. It's retired for a reason. What id Lecav is a bust, I think it would look kinda bad to have taken a jersey down for someone who might not work out.

I have my name on my jersey. I don't want to spend 250 bucks on a jersey to see the guy get traded. Which until recently was so common that you could wait 3 years and have almost no one left from the team of the year you bought your jersey in.

Mine is the Vintage 3rd jersey the habs had 3 seasons ago. Man that is a nice jersey. Fortunately I can still use my number, my name and even have the C on it. And it matches the era of the jersey(other than the name) Bouchard #3 captain for the 46 vintage jersey. (yeah I know he wasn't captain till 48) Ain't I lucky

I've never heard that before. But I did hear that Jean volunteered his number to Guy Lafleur when Guy was drafted. Guy politely and respectfully turned the offer down.

I've been to a few games in Ottawa and I always see this lady with #00 "Leafs Sucks". I think her husband (or maybe somebody else) "Cherry Sucks". lol

Since someone already owns a Dandouillon...
Who wants to buy a Turtlenec or a Balditsyn?

I remember hearing that. If Vinny ever did come to Montreal, I doubt he'd accept it, though.

This...

When I deal with clients in Quebec, they sometimes "correct" my name on documents by removing one of the L's.
