Well, both Kovy and Semin tend to dissapear now and then, so yes, Morozov and one of Radulov/Zaripov/Mozyakin/Sushinsky/Yashin might quite well edge them out on the OT.

Pretty hard to predict a tournament like this, you could have more talented team and still lose, all you have to do is run into a team that works hard and has a hot goal tender. Up sets happen all the time here and I think thats what makes these tournaments exciting.

Canada is 1 and Russia probably 2 but the other 5 countries are so close together that its a crapshoot. You can arrange the other 5 countries randomly and you still have a shot at getting it right. Any Finn, American, Czech, Slovak, or Swede fan who thinks their team is clearly head and shoulders better than the other 4 is crazy.
Before every tournament everyone goes ooooooooo look at Canada, and if they can get it together then yes they are easily no.1 but they rarely do, so my guess is that the gold medal goes to Russia and Sweden silver, Canada bronze Czeck fourth

Well any Swedish who thinks their team is head and shoulders better than US is thinking logically. Sweden will field a top team for sure. Good enough to easily compete with Canada and Russia on paper.

Agreed. The US team figures to have more firepower than 2006 but as usual the goaltending and defensive choices won't be very inspiring.
Russia, Canada, and Sweden have the most talent. Finland always gets the most out of their players. The other 3 big 7 teams have lots of reasons to be concerned.

Finland and Czech Republic is better than the U.S aswell. Yet, year after year people put the U.S among the favourites and after they get their ***** handed to them they immediately say it's becaus they choked. Like there ever was any real pressure on them to win anything?
I'd rather watch Finland play than say Slovakia or Sweden.
