For the first time in years, I got nothing Flyers. I got an old black Polamalu jersey, and a Phillies WS hat and a really cool photo of Brad Lidge and Carlos Ruiz celebrating right after the final out.
I got to spend part of Christmas Day in the hospital, thanks to former Flyer Captain Jason Smith....
My season tickets are in section 117. During the third period Tuesday night, Smith ripped a dump-in shot with his typical accuracy...up over the glass and somehow slightly around the netting...which came in like a howitzer, missing my face by about an inch and catching my wife in the wrist. After a day and a half of dealing with the pain and swelling, my wife opted to go to the local emergency medical center, which is where we spent a small chunk of Christmas Day.
But at least we got the puck.
That was you guys??? Lol. I think I remember exactly what play you're talking about. Did you hold the puck in the air after you got it to a loud cheer? I was right around there but in the upper level. Tough break btw, hope she feels better.
For Xmas I got a white Richie jersey, a Hartnell jersey shirt, and the draft hat from reebok.
I got 2 flyers tickets for the game against the pens on 1/13
I got the same thing, can't wait! Haven't seen a live game since before Forsberg....waaaaaaaay too long to go without live Flyers. If they have any third jerseys there i think i'll pick up a Richards as well, as right now all i have is an orange Lindros
Replica Carter 3rd jersey, 2 hats, keychain, car kit (headrest covers, pouch, cd visor, calendar (which I just can't understand why they don't check with a fan of each team before making them...that way maybe guys like Timonen and Hartnell would be on there instead of Kapanen and Umberger), 2 Flyers ornaments, I suppose NHL 09 counts....
A good hockey Christmas for me. I was not expecting a jersey at all this year.
Don't want to make a new thread for this, since practically I wanted to get it for Christmas but Amazon screwed me over a little bit.
I finally got "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly" yesterday and it's really excellent so far. I'm a bit of a trivia guy and really like the factoids which are spread throughout the book, for example Pelle Lindbergh being the first goalie to keep a water bottle on top of his net, or that Barry Ashbee once punched a ref in the face, or my personal favorite, that the Flyers got their first penalty ever only 22 seconds into their first franchise game.
