Organ volume too loud in Verizon Ctr?

I recently heard comment from a coworker, (albeit a Rangers fan, so his talk may be biased) that he was recently at a Caps game at VC, and he said the organ volume was so loud that his seat shook and he went on to say that he thinks that it violates some sort of league rule.

Anyone ever heard of a league rule on organ volume?

Where was he sitting? The only thing I ever remember being way too loud is the goal horn, and that's kind of the idea with that.

I believe he said he was in a corner about midway up. Where is the organ? I don't think I've ever seen it at VC. I know at the old Cap Ctr it used to be right there where the players came out I think.

I have no problems with it. Your friend needs to grow a pair.

I mean, unless the organ player was laying on the deepest note, i seriously doubt his seat was shaking from the organ. Maybe someone behind him who hates the rangers?

The "organ" is up next to the press box above the "Kitt's Music" banner. That is irrelevant to the sound though. It all comes through the speaker system along with the PA announcements/sound from videos/etc.

It may be an unpopular view based on a few posts on this thread, but the music volume is louder at VC during Caps games this season. Too loud, IMO. (to the original question, I doubt there are rules about noise at an indoor pro sporting event)

I'm with you. There are some nights where I can barely hear myself think during time outs.

Vz is average. Its seems all stadiums of all sports blast almost everything very loud, starting with the artificial crowd noise. I hardly seem to notice the organ anymore. Perhaps because it is amplified too much.

FedEx Field is insanely loud. It doesn't help that I sit under the speakers either. They have to turn it up on 11 so they can hear it in the endzones.

It depends where you sit. The speakers don't face the first two mezzanine end sections (ie 422 and 423) so you can't really hear anything, especially if you sit up high. The goal horn also sounds really messed up in those sections as you hear it from multiple sets of speakers and there is delay and a beat frequency.

I wish they would stop playing crappy music though. Fall out emoBoy? Really? At a hockey game? No.

At FedEx, I'm in 452 under the lights and speakers.

ACK! Bad music on 11 is never a good thing.

The only time I have trouble hearing anything is when they're showing a video or interview. Good thing they started adding subtitles to the video segments so I can at least get an idea of what's going on.

Ok there is a ton of stuff on high noise levels. I kind of went overboard. sorry
How loud exactly is the level in the Verizon centre?

http://www.noisefree.org/legislation.php See B) 5. The closest applicable I found on this site.

hey baby, the louder the better. up here in Winnipeg we cranked everything loud, it just meant that we had to be louder than whatever was on the PA.

Exhibit A

ahhh memories.
