PGT: Mad Max is awesome, Habs gain a win they deserved

Wow.

It was absolutely crucial to win this game with Boston losing to the Capitals. It sucked to blow the lead, but we got it done in the end. We deserved the win anyway IMO. By far the better team for the majority of the game.

PGT: Horrible 3rd but KOVY/LAPS/HALAK win in the SO for the Habs

Another ugly win. But who cares.

Wasn't ugly at all, except for the third, ugly is when you play like ass the whole game.

Ottawa played insane in OT though. That was some awesome dangling by Spezza.

Kovalev's goal was just awesome, what a deke. Lappy with the slick moves as well.

Wasnt an ugly game, we owned them pretty much all game long. Halak had another average game and the defense lost its composure in the 3rd.

Can't play a 3rd period like we just did against a quality team!

Come on boys... 60 minutes!

within 8 of Boston though...they lost to the caps tonight!!!

Bad bad 3rd period. Halak needs to make the big saves. I think they would have won in regulation with Price.

why people think this was an ugly win?

It was a well deserved win IMO... last 8 mins of the 3rd was ugly that's all! Habs played much better the whole game

Halak is diving way under .800 since he took over as #1.

That's why otherwise easy games are tough. If Halak played at the level of Elliot, this game would have been a cakewalk.

Then again, he played well in the SO, so, yeah.

2 more points in the bank.

I love how Lapierre sort of mimicked Richards haha.

LOL @ Lapierre's goal, I am speechless. Kovy's goal also surprised me I figured he would hit the post.

Game should never have gone to OT/SO though.

Halak didn't make the big saves Elliott made. However, Halak bounced back in the SO and who cares giving a point to Ottawa? Just puts them further from Tavares/Hedman.

Ottawa is a putrid team and this game should've been over in the 2nd.

But whatever. 2 points is 2 points.
