Spezza vs. Zetterberg

I know..it's should not even be a close poll if I compare both but...

Both have marginal season.
Both projected to have 70pts or so.

But, in term of OFFENSIVE, who would you choose first?

Oh come on, this is an unfair poll. 50% of the people will vote for Zetts before even noticing offense only...

Offensively, I Have to Take Spezza considering his age and better playmaking ability. He can also put up 35+ Goals per year. Zetterbergs Overall Game is better though.

Huh... Zetterberg's put up better goal totals(43 and 39) than Spezza(34, 34).

Spezza has the slight, slight edge in overall offense, Zetterberg's the better goal scorer at this point though, and he is 10 times the player Spezza will ever be overall.

Offensively they are a wash. Overall Zetterberg is superior.

How is age relevant for offensive output?

So you voted based on overall when the question explicitly asks to vote solely on offense.

Zetterberg. I don't think either player is better than the other in the offensive zone, but Z creates offense from his defense both on the PK and from back-checking.

Zetterberg got his numbers with one player better then him the last couple seasons.

Spezza got his numbers with two players better then him the last couple seasons.

The numbers themselves are even. Factoring in goals and/or looking strictly at point totals and not point-per-game percentages - Zetterberg wins.

I picked Zetterberg even though the OP said it was based on offense, I cannot seperate the players like that, I just had to go with who I would rather have.

Oh dear what a travesty! Since this vote affects you on a personal self confidence level I will swap my vote to Spezza just for having 1 aspect of his game approach any of Zetterberg's.

Can you guys seriously let the Sens win something? Their fans could really use the boost.

I'm glad we have a Hawks fan around to teach us about how to be classy winners, particularly given their grand tradition of recent success.

Sorry I should not have taken a swipe at the Sens fan base, just the kid who shat himself at my earlier comment.

Linemates brother... Z plays with Hossa and whoever this year, not Datsyuk, Lidstrom and Raf. This isn't mentioning that Spezza, Heatley, Alfie has been the highest scoring line since the lockout.

Some people just hate Detroit.

zetter had more goals, same points last year in 1 less game, and has more points so far this year... so I dont really see where spezza is better offensively, if anything id pick "too close to call" but since i cant i'll take the one who scores more, and doesnt have a proven 50 goal scorer on his wing to inflate his assists.

Nobody has their panties in a twist here but you, I was merely pointing out your complete failure to follow very simple and clear directions. You decided to take offense to that apparently, and make yourself look foolish by insulting a fanbase, rather than admitting your mistake.
