Gaulton is a kid that would provide a huge boost to our farm if he can stay healthy. A lot of scouts were really high on him. He's supposed to be a very physical defenseman and an excellent hitter. Something our defense prospects lack.

Everytime someone gives us an 2nd period update..he never does anything in the 3rd

He ended with 2G/1A, named first star

Can we call him up?

Duchene is rated #3 by ISS and #2 in NA skaters by CSB.

I read about Duchene being a really good player about 2-3 years ago when was deciding between playing at Michigan State or going to the CHL.

Hodgson went in top 10 in 08.Duchene is the better player.

I wouldn't hesitate to take Duchene 2nd overall. Smart, fast, creative, sturdy player.

I'm beginning to think this team won't be a cup contender until Sanguinetti, Grachev and Anisimov are playing in the NHL and are producing.

Unless either Grachev or Anisimov is going to be a 40-50 goal scorer, I don't think so. It's going to take a bit more than that.

one of them could very well be a 40-50 goal scorer. I'm not sure they'll need to score 40 goals though, if they can provide balance and consistent offense, then I would settle for both getting 30-35 goals.

I don't put any pressure on them. It won't be their fault the team still can't score when they come here. That will be on Sather.

Nooope!

I don't know if there is a legit 40+ goal prospect in the entire hockey world. Tavares maybe but thats far from a given.

Anisimov at the best will like become a Handzus type of player. Grachev probably peaks out at like a Franzen type.

Both are great prospects IMO -- but none of them will ever become goto players so to speak. Neither really have above avg offensive vision or any other offensive ability that really stands out. But that doesn't mean they won't become very goo players for us down the line.

I think Grachev has the hands to be similar to Franzen in the scoring department, but I'd be disappointed if he wasn't a better passer. Franzen had just 11 assists last year playing for the best team in the league and averaging around 18 minutes of ice time a game. Grachev seems to excel at both passing and scoring, so I think he'll be more valuable in the long run

Don't Brampton fans video tape their games?

I can't find any Grachev footage anywhere...

Stan Butler (coach of Brampton/Grachev) is on XM 204 now. Not sure if he'll say anything about Grachev, but if he does, I'll post a summary.

Edit: He didn't mentioned Grachev. They talked mostly about business and fighting, and they asked him about Hodgson and Duschene but not Grachev.

The local Rogers Sportsnet in Brampton puts highlights of some games on their web site.

Here's the highlights from his 4-goal game:
http://www.rogerstv.com/option.asp?l...d=28&gid=48309

This one's an interview with him:
http://www.rogerstv.com/option.asp?l...d=28&gid=47702

There are more on the site, but you have to go through the list to find them.

Kveton with 2 goals in wild wild game where his team lost 5-7, in his last two games he had 4g,1a.
He is currently 6th in scoring in Czech top league(Extraliga) with 4-5 games less played than most of the others.
I smell something special here , i didn't see this coming.
I'm more pleased with him than with Grachev right now....hopefully he will be able to make the jump to NHL next year.
