Voros hasen't been the same since early November when he actually did those things you mentioned. His play has been pretty weak and lazy for a couple of months.

He needs to start using his frame to his advantage and mess up the crease again now that he's in. That's just how I see it...

That's just it, he doesn't do any of that.

He hasn't in months.

And that seems to be his MO.

He starts off well, and then disappears for the rest of the season.

And he has been a liability. He takes stupid penalties in every game he plays. Which could be overlooked if he did anything else of note, but he doesn't.

He can't skate, he doesn't produce, he doesn't do what he is supposed to do in front of the net, he doesn't rough up the other team, and on top of it takes bad penalties every game he plays...

He is quite a bad player.

I also think Orr is a bad player, but he contributes more then Voros... and that says something.

Voros definitely fell off. It's not like he's doing anything WRONG like turnovers or making bad decisions, he's just not doing anything right anymore. He's far from the worst player on our team, but he catches a bad wrap because he didn't live up to the hype from the beginning of the season.

Hopefully after being scratched for so long, he'll come out tonight with some fire in his game.

5-4 Rangers OTL.

Adam Banks with the OT winner off a beautiful Charlie Conway setup.

What is the point with changing the lineup especially when there is a week off after this game?

it will be nice to see where the team sits at that time as the others catch up. Likely 6th but hopefully not by much

just keep Voros and Fritsche sitting for now

with 7 days off I'm sure Renney wanted to get Voros and Fritsche into a game..

does Fritsche still know how to skate after this endless-seeming layoff???

Kinda frickin ironic that the Rangers beat the Ducks in Anahiem with Korpikoski in the lineup...

Oh, and Voros was in too, because of his size - and guess what? He played a grand total of 7:47 that night... Wow. Really a force out there with that big frame, he made all the difference, yeah...
and the other big guy Orr only played 5:45.

Guess you need to put the "size" in the lineup again against this team. Makes all the difference.

not the traditional irony, maybe the Alanis Morrisette kind.

and did you need to post the exact same post in two different threads?

After being shut out and playing a big team in Anaheim, I can't knock the substitutions for tonight. Though I still don't see why we need Colton Orr in every night. There's no reason why he couldn't sit against Carolina or even Pitt and bring back in Prucha or Korpikoski. I think the last game against Pitt is a shining example of how Orr isn't needed every game. Most importantly, I'd love to see a win before the break, not like Christmas.

Sure the record is sexy, but on closer examination what do we find? A multitude of faults.

Like I said, I don't know what to expect from this team anymore.
The team is built with alot of faults. I judge the coach in this main way. Does the coach have the team under or over performing? IMO this team on a whole is over performing, considering the overall lack of top level scoring. There will always be things that we as fans would like to do differently thats the fun of it. But saying we should get rid of the coach is getting old. Secondly who might we replace Renney with that is so much better?

Back on topic...... LGR !

I am a Renney fan, but it is frustrating to see the only two players ever being held accountable for a bad loss are Petr Prucha and Lauri Korpikoski.
Is this punisment for bad play or is it just a result of Renny not being able to bear keeping lines consistent. Prucha didn't have a very good game though but I thought they were going to give him a chance for a while.

Anyone else think the goal by Dawes was the best looking Rangers goal this season?

Tom is a real motivator. Should be fun to watch his perplexed look about 2 minutes into the game after this team sleepwalks from the drop of the puck. Can anyone name one first period over the last 2 months that the've shown some jump?

Actually theyll be all over the place the first two minutes and get 2 or 3 good chances but fail to capitalize or hit a post.

THEN theyll start to sleepwalk, after taking a penalty.

while im excited to see fritsche and voros back in teh lineup im disapointed htat prucha and korps will be sent down. both had been playing well as of late, no reason to just send htem down. i think if anyone deserves to go its sjostrom and betts. just my 2 cents. give fritsche the opportunity to play center his natural position and allow voros to be on the 4th line making this team tougher. dont just give up on 2 players after they have 1 bad game. that is bad coaching.

Oh, please. China is a great country no matter what you see from 30 stinking feet. It has top 5 economy in the world. If Rangers were as good as China, they would have been a perennial PO team and possibly Cup Contender.

sadly that's not news.. it's where he has been playing for the most part. However with Perry's suspension he started getting much more time on the PP, receiving overall good icetime since then.
