Whether right or wrong, making it is the important part, because -- in all honsestly, it's really hard to make a wrong decision - there are so many ways to handle various things (use of force aside).

But, the metal aspect can be tough. Not so much the burden of "responsibility", but just some of the BS and moronic things people do and say. You really are a glorified babysitter a lot of times, and it can be draining.

But honestly, it's worth all the crap. It's the best job in the world (for me at least).
Yeah im sure Id get over it, its just knowing that at times, lives are in ur hands. Its a HUGE responsibility. Thats why everytime a cop is in line ata 7-11 or something with coffee or something i usually pick up the tab i mean the person is literally risking his life to keep my community safe.

It seems like in all it is fun, and in the end of the day you are making a positive impact on the world, and thats all i really want to do with my life. Be something my future kids cold be proud of, as well as the community. Its something I may still do down the road when I feel ready for it. Right now I dont know, I know its smart to go in younger, but I think Im no "mature" enough you know? Im shooting to give it a go when Im 24-25ish.

That's a good goal to shoot for, and now-a-days, that's about the average age. Most PD's want applicants to have degrees...so that's going to bump up the age.

Yeh I may go to CC to get some sort of degree to look better on my resume.

Im deffinatly going to go to ATC, because if I do the cop thing, when I retire Im opening a shop and doing that. I love it. And so if the cop thing fails, I have something to lean on.

Double Major: Economics and Philosophy

12 credits (4 classes) short of qualifying for a minor in Classical History; it wouldn't have counted, anyway, because I was told that only two designations would apply to my degree.

All of this after completing one and a half years of Civil Engineering.

Roller hockey and the Flyers are what keep me goin through the year because my major is hard as balls lol
Thats what I was for the first semester. I switched my major to Biomedical Engineering due to the face that I really hate Computer Science. Also Biomedical was always interesting to be because one of my family members is diabetic, and I hope to work someway in finding a cure.

Accounting

I transferred from Loyola University in Chicago and lost a bunch of credits in the process, so I'm a few semesters behind. But I'm finally graduating this year which is all that matters. I'm about ready to be finished. Six years of college...I have reached my limit.

yeah i don't really care for it right now but i think one of the reasons is because i've never worked with c and programming stuff before so its frustrating when i dont understand how to do it so hopefully it becomes more interesting to me once i know how to do more stuff.

Well Computer Science I inst too bad. I was able to pull off a A in the First semester. Then I found out I needed to take Comp Sci II this semester and then sophmore year I would take Comp Sci III. One of my friends is a Comp Sci Major and he says Comp Sci III is the most redicules thing he has ever done before (and thats what he plans on doing for a living haha). After hearing that I knew there was no way in hell I would be able to do that. Maybe if I liked it I could do better but sadly I despise it so much. I just couldnt understand why some things worked and why I couldnt do it another way. I guess I like facts more then theory.

Burlington Community College or Burlington County College or Burlington COunty Community College. Abbreviation is BCC.

Anyways, I will be going there for this year and next year and transferring to Rutgers.

Originally was majoring in Medicine, but I looked at the MCAT book and realized that Chemistry is a 2nd language to me and I dont have the ass to sit down and study a 2nd language. Especially not Chemistry. So I changed my Major to teaching. I am planning to go into the government though like the ATF or FBI.

i'm going to pull a facebook and say, "it's complicated."

BUT. regardless, my major will be english, and i'm leaning heavily towards teaching high school. i'd also like to get published for something at some point.

this was a neat idea for a thread.
