mission helmets

mission helmets

anyone have any experience with them? i have a giant head, used a bauer 4000xl until it cracked and failed. i got a mission large and it's just slightly snug. will it break in and get more comfortable?

It depends on which helmet you have i bought the fantom and i have a huge head as well i also wear large. It has gotten to fit pretty well on my head and it will get more comfortable in the near future.

got the intake with the fantom mask (which, despite the awful marketing misspelling, is the greatest cage i've ever seen). it's just a little snug. i'll take your word for it and keep it.

i really like the helmet and mine fits perfectly to my head as well after being a little tight at first

I think they do break in a bit. Mine used to be really snug and now it's a little loose. I do need to adjust all the screws again.

I don't think you have much of a choice. No one makes larger helmets then Mission. I've got Intake and now Fusion. Both required a rather painful break-in time, but afterwards they fit quite nicely. Try to wear them when watching TV, etc. so you would not suffer during the game. Very much like skates.

I wear an XL helmet (which actually used to be the Bauer 4000). I've been using the new Easton S9, with my old Bauer cage, and after a short break-in period it seems to be a pretty nice fit.
