I made $10 gambling there last time I went. Here is a tip, if you get ahead early while gambling on slots, LEAVE!!!!!! I made that mistake, lost all the money I was ahead, and keep feeding the machine $20's until I was way out, but the Roulette table is a lifesaver!
I won $380 on Roulette the first time I ever played it. Then I played out my stack of $80, and decided to cash out, only to have my red 9 come out which I had been playing all night, right after. But still, I had only gone with $100. I love that game.

I'm not saying gambling is evil, I'm saying Atlantic City is evil. Weird freaking people around that place man. I don't feel safe.

A Psyc professor of mine explained the addiction of gambling to me and how it relates to our hunter-gatherer nature. We are kinda hardwired to sit around and wait to find the right prey and strike. The thrill of the hunt and the joy of victory kinda deal. However, Gambling is the thrill of the hunt and a chance of immediate payment. We don't have to spend hours to see if a deer will pass, or if we wasted our time. We can play and find out instantly if today is our lucky day. We still experience the thrill of risking something small for a much larger but unlikely payout. But we are not limited to once play a day, we can play over and over, each time we can win. The more times we lose, the more hope build inside us that if we keep going, eventually we have to win. The odds say so.

Legas and Atlantic city knows we will hang around way to long, and provide services and such to keep us there, while fixing the odds so we don't win. Free drinks while your gambling relax customers and promote a friendly environment, one people are in no rush to leave. Lodging in the casino means you stay near the tables at all times, and structures your schedules to at least see the tables on a daily basis.

Slots are the worst, as they tend to allow people to get ahead early on which is like a hunter gatherer having a deer walk by 10 minutes into the hunt, and more times then not, you will lose what you are up and then some in no time, and people assume they will win big because they want to be back up ahead, and they most often will not be.

In fact, Vegas trys to draw family oriented people more so then sleaze balls, so everyone dresses up to play in casinos, and Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe are the only 3 places in Nevada that prostitution is ILLEGAL in the entire state. Nothing scares people away like some hookers on the street. Hooker hunting anyone???

However, the cops in Vegas are always busy fighting prostitution because it still is rampart.

The type of learning associated with gambling (variable ratio reinforcement) is by far the quickest way to reinforce behavior in humans or other animals, like rats.

I stick to first third, second third, or last third and play those.

I increase my bet each time until I win, then I usually stop.

I try to see which third is hitting the most, and then play that. Then, look to see which third is not hitting, and play that. IDK, strategy in games of luck can only do so much.

Craps is an AWESOME game btw. Fast paced and really exciting when someone has a hot throwing hand.

Craps and Roulette are supposed to have the best odds in your favor also.

Anyways, I will be going there for this year and next year and transferring to Rutgers.

Originally was majoring in Medicine, but I looked at the MCAT book and realized that Chemistry is a 2nd language to me and I dont have the ass to sit down and study a 2nd language. Especially not Chemistry. So I changed my Major to teaching. I am planning to go into the government though like the ATF or FBI.
Most doctors are horrible in Chemistry, believe it or not. I was originally going to go to med/dental school but decided I didn't want to spend that much money in the end. But nearly every doctor I've spoken to did bad in Organic and was never, ever very good at Chemistry.

There aren't many doctors who take more chem classes in their undergrad than bio classes.
