We haven't used the trap in god knows how long, give it a rest already. We've got actual offense now and rather than trapping we rely on puck possession in the offensive zone to keep teams off the board.

Wanna see a trapping team, go watch Pittsburgh or the Rangers.

Good luck tonight though, should be a good game.

Man, good luck you guys, it is going to be tough playing the habs who are a trap first team!

Right, I have 15 cans of red bull for this game to keep my awake. I usually need around 20 cans for when I watch my team trap other teams round the league to death.

Les Habitants are that exciting.

It's hilarious how badly Devils fans want to be known as an exciting team. They're starting to lose it.

I can't take them seriously when they get so hung up over a couple of insults from other teams' fans. What are you new to sports?

I have to say the Devils fans are right (well, how could they not be? they watch the team). The Devils don't play the trap anymore. It's still a funny picture, though

Some touchy Devils fans up in here.

But seriously, if you think the Devils are a trap team this year (or last year or the year before)...watch more hockey.

Dude, we say you guys trap because we keep losing. Even if you play Cloutier vs us, we'd still lose. It's so ****ing frustrating.

Don't blame us for being frustrated for losing every time to you guys.

Tell that to the Habitants who are invading our board.

Good luck tonight, but not that much. Hopefully Parise continues his mission against les trapezes.

Seriously, give the devils a one goal lead and its usually game over for the habs (9 times out of 10) ... Its so frustrating to watch as a fan knowing that your team has little chance of winning. (call it a trap or not, its the truth). I dread devils games for this reason.

The point is that the Habs were a trapping team long before the Devils were. However you guys haven't played that system in a long time. If you ever follow the Devils, we really don't follow Lemaire's system anymore, not since he left. True we still employ some form of the 2-2-1 system, but its been changed over the years. This past year Sutter has changed it completely to a forecheck puck possession 3-1-1 system, which has caused a lot more shots on goal on our side more than usual.

Both teams play a defensive game due to some great goaltending, but I wouldn't strictly call either team a trapping team any more.

We say you guys trap because we lose. Even if the game is 9-6, we'd say you trapped. We're just frustrated. Nothing personal.

We've had a couple of teams come back and beat us this season after we've gotten a lead. Trust me, I'd go back to the ole boring if I could!

It's probably just mental. We did win 3 games last year against you guys but it still feels we can't win in NJ. I don't know what aura is in that building but the Habs players get lazy, sloppy, soft when they play in NJ.
