Would carter have any chance in the fastest skater contest? or the puckhandling?

I think he would have a chance, but given he's leading the league in goals he'll probably be involved in shooting skills (accuracy, breakaway).

Are the targets high and wide?

It's sad that the 2 best players in the playoffs are not in the all star game. I hope the Flyers crush Montreal in the playoffs.
Along with what Dig said, with the ballot stuffing that went on, it's not a big surprise that Richards didn't make it. When Ovechkin has to be named to the team, it tells you how seriously screwed up the all-star voting process is.

Komisarek in and Timonen not is beyond disgusting. And the fact that Gagne has been completely absent from most discussions just adds to it.

I hope Montreal enjoys their all-star game. I also hope that the viewers disregard it as much as possible, to show the league how little interest there is in it when this kind of crap goes on.

They're going to pull out those bigger nets they thought about using a few years ago.

Here's how the setup would have to be on the net for Carter to go 4 for 4. I truly couldn't resist.

I read that Jeff Carter, Brian Campbell, Jay Bouwmeester and Zach Parise will participate in NHL Fastest Skater with one lap around the rink. Go Jeff!!!

Maybe I'm underrating those guys, but I see Jeff taking that pretty easily.

Jay Bouwmeister is one of the fastest going end to end....its 1 lap around the rink.... if I had to put money on its on JBow...maybe JC can pull it out, but I never see him with "after burners" and throwing it in that other gear some players have....maybe im wrong...

Carter is so tall, I think his speed is probably under-rated. Those short guys look like they can fly because they are so small. However, I don't know about JC and fastest skater awards.

Carter's speed has always been deceptive. He can ****ing fly.

I'd just like to see Upshall in the speed contest, just once. He'd probably kill it.

I can't wait to see him on Team Canada. I think that's when most NHL fans will realize just how fast he is....if they don't already.

The funniest thing about that to me is that I've often heard that Carter isn't even the fastest player on the Flyers, yet he still stands a good chance to win this thing.

Carter is probably the fastest player in the league with the puck.

Marian Gaborik is scary fast. Too bad he can't compete, I'd like to see how much faster he is than everybody else lol
