Too bad we could probably never afford him.

No, it was all speculation that Kovalchuk would ask to be dealt or that he wouldn't sign a long term deal with Atlanta after his current contract expires. Fact is, Kovalchuk has stated on numerous occasions he enjoys Atlanta and he wants to stay in Atlanta. All what he needs to do is go to owners and tell them to hire a competent GM and I'm pretty sure he could get Don Waddell fired. Why Waddell hasn't been fired yet is beyond me? He's absolutely the worst GM the NHL has seen since Randy Sexkitten in Ottawa

Atlanta has potential of being a good team(never though I'd say that). They definitely definitely need a new GM.

this team still cant figure out how to play 60 minutes. We play a better team and we have a loss. Unacceptable to blow a 3 goal lead in the 3rd period. I know we got the win, but that cant happen. Got to learn to close out games and put teams like Atlanta away and not give em a chance

Toronto will be in the lottery and even with low odds somehow pull the first overall pick(it's the ping pong ball thats frozen gary) and get tavares. Bettman will borrow a page from his old boss' stern playbook when he carefully picked out the knicks envelope with the bent edge to give them ewing. The last thing they want is him going to some southeast team where his jersey won't even outsell Richard's 3rd flyers jersey.

As long as they finish no worse then 6th last, they can't get the #1 pick as a team can't move up more then 4 spots. So hopefully they can go on a decent tear with all their young guys playing their hearts out auditioning for a job next year and they can finish in no mans land again, out of the playoffs and out of a high pick.

Anyone who saw my comments on facebook knows what I think of Randy Jones after that one.

I walked out of the building more pissed off that it came to what it did rather than actually winning the game.
