He's still under contract and with Marty you never know if he's going to be healthy.
Knowing his luck a piano will be dropped on him by a wayward stork while eating breakfast at Denny's.
“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
If you'll direct your attention to the left of your screen, you'll see my opinion of Martin Straka. When he came to the Kings last season, he played with a whole lot heart and determination and put up some good numbers. Unfortunately, injuries began to dog him and he was forced to have surgery on both knees; he wasn't the same player when he came back. However, I'm hoping that the majority of his health troubles(and those of the entire team, for that matter) are behind him.
You can definitely slate him in a top six role, however whom he plays with and what position he plays will undoubtedly change on a nightly basis. Andy Murray likes to mix his offensive lines up a great deal.
I got to meet him when he was a rookie for Pittsburgh. A few players from each local ice hockey team got selected to goto a banquet with Straka and Mike Lange. Very nice although he didn't speak much english. Always was a fan of his and always will be. I hope his carrear is on the right track again!
