not that it really matters, but does anyone else think this is a ploy to a.) energize the team and b.) sell tickets while giving Sully his one last chance before he calls it quits?
The cynical side of me thinks Sully returns to the ice for a short term, so the Preds can lock him up with a long term contract, so we can still get to the salary cap floor with one of our richest contracts being paid by the insurance companies
If that happens, I can see Poile try and make a move to re-sign him. If he wants too much, there will be move to advance a draft pick. As of right now the Preds have 12 picks in the 7 rounds of the draft. They would try and make a move for more quality not quantity.
