That was a fun period to watch. Ovy and Malkin are oh so good and so fun to watch. Did Parise even step foot on the ice? Talk about being invisible.

I have a feeling Lundqvist is gonna get lit up in the second.

I noticed him a lot. He was on the line with St. Louis and Lecavlier. I didn't notice any the Western Conference guys. If effing Doc and Engblom would get off their @sses and actually call the game a bit, I might know who is who. The red jerseys are easier to tell who is who. I have no clue who the West players are until the replay. Except Thornton I guess since he's so tall and lanky.

If I could undo two moves from our recent history.

Marc Savard and Ryan Getzlaf. With those two, that would mean no Drury, Gomez. We'd have cap to spare. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Decent game so far, Ovie looks strong. But when does he not?

Does Lundy step in now? If he lays an egg, even in the ASG, get ready for a thousand "Lundqvist is overrated" threads, populated primarily by our favorite cross-river fans.

Not really... They would still need to be paid. If you estimate 5 million for both, that would only equal about 4.5 million in savings over Dru and Gomez. Considering how poorly Sather has spent this team's cap dollars, the potential disasters are nearly endless as well.

Through 2 and a half minutes, I'd say Henke looks better than Backstrom... for now. The defense looks terrible in front of Lundqvist, but no worse than in the regular season, LOL.

Souray snap shot past Henke. Screened by his dman. He's been making a bunch of routine saves.

They were on for like 2 shifts. I actually like that line. Seems very well put together.

Nash with a sick backhander on the partial breakaway. 3 Goals against for Henke so far.
edit: Hedjuk adds one. That's 4 goals in under 10 minutes for Henke.
edit 2: Souray adds a second. 10:34 seconds into the period.
