If Lundqvist didn't get selected, Zherdev probably would've been the top candidate to represent us I would think(and hope.) Maybe Naslund.

People should remember, Lundqvist isin't going to be trying 100%. That risks injury.

No, I'd say not trying 100% risks injury. You can't halfass it with pucks coming at you that fast.

I'd like to personally apologize to Mr. Lundqvist for jinxing him. Seems as if everyone has the book on him: shoot high, glove side. He's been abominable.

Henrik getting lit up here, although he's been left out to dry by the defense on almost every goal. Gee, sounds familiar.

Its not pucks hitting you that will cause injury, its streching extra far, moving laterally side to side too quickly when it isin't needed that can cause injury.

He is being conservative, and it doesn't help that hes playing against the best players in the world with swiss cheese defense since they don't care either.

I don't know if Savard ever becomes the player he became if he stayed with this team. Remember that it wasn't really until his last season in Atlanta that he developed into the top-line player he is.

I don't agree with that argument at all. I'm not saying he would be the player he is today any quicker if he stayed on the Rangers. Just that he would be the player he is today on any team. The only valid argument which I also disagree with is that he doesn't become the player he is today without Kovalchuk and Heatly. I mean, he was playing on a crappy Thrashers team. He's not any worse off on a crappy Rangers team.

it's not that far off. Doc and Engblom spend a lot of time with mindless banter and talking about Canadians hockey history. you get a mention of the players once in a while. I really thought they would promote the players more.

Ov has more personality in his little finger than Sid has in his whole body

Why the league doesnt market him as the face of the league is beyond me,

Vanek, that's the first time I've heard his name. He has been invisible. And they light up Henke again. 6 goals against.
