At 1.5M, we can now trade Sundstrom when our prospects will be ready to play.
If we can have a 2nd rounder for Sunny, it's excellent.

I'd go with Demitra in a second... he's still young, and look at his numbers...

Demitra in a heartbeat

Instead of Demitra, I would go after Palfy. Can you imagine a zednik -koivu-palfy line. . IMO Palfy is as talented as kovalev. The only deference between the two is theire age. Now if BG could somehowe get both palfy and kovalev and put them on the same line with koivu then I would go and buy season tickets even thow I have to pay my school next year.

I voted Kovy, just because we know he has chemistry with koivu and zednik which makes a good top line, Demitra has performed better in recent year but we don't know how well he'd click with those to, i'm sure he would but Kovy already settled in and such so i'd say him.

Two words:

Alexei Kovalev

For all his faults, he's still the best option.
  • He has youth over Hull.
  • Despite a bad year, he's got more game than Selanne.
  • He has more size, strength, and the ability to use it.
  • He has proven NHL chemistry with Saku and Richard.
  • Our youth is ready for a prime time first line role

Pavol Demitra is a more complete and constant player than Alexei Kovalev. Just take a look at his last 5 years in the NHL, Demitra's amazing, and i think he's definetly the best player available in the UFA market this summer. Teemu Selanne should not be signed even for 1 000 000. What a bad year he had in Colorado.
