The usual bull...saying how Ovi was scared to do the move that he did last year because of the 'kid' in net. Saying that he made the guy's look bad for blocking the shots. Just his usual bull.

LOL I hate to play devil's advocate here. The NHL apparently told him to not stop pucks. He stopped 29 of 34.... I dunno, what Don's saying might have some teeth.

Well if they wanted a goalie that can't stop anything, they should have a draw or something and a random fan gets to be in net.

Don was bang on, like he said he Pro's don't want to participate in it because it makes them look stupid. I agree, let Pang or another guy like Hrudey or Millen dress as a goalie because the league is looking for a pylon, not a stopper.

Those guys are former Pro's and the players won't feel so bad and won't be afraid to try stuff because they don't want to hurt a kid.

Jason barely even moved. Case in point, when Ovechkin put the hat on. Why not just go with an empty net if they aren't happy?

Don Cherry called you a Junior B goalie, you gotta go kick the old man's ass

Also, which player was it that ran into your head? And nice work on not falling for St Louis's move, I can't even imagine what it would feel like seeing that as a goaltender in nets.

For one thing, he said the name of the goalie before it was made public. At the very least, he knows the goalie personally.

The NHL told me to not poke check and come 10 feet out of my net. They also said to act like a goalie and try to make the save. I read the 29 out of 34 argument, but if you watch it again, alot of those 29 missed the net. I was barely moving out there. Nevertheless it was still awesome!

Seems to me you did exactly what you were supposed to do.

You gave the players a chance to score without making it look like a joke. The onus was on them to put it past a guy who wanted them to score and they overall didn't deliver.

Congrats on this once in a life-time experience! That'll be something to tell the grandkids one day... Be sure to save all the press clippings and any footage you can get.

You're allowed to have a max of 4 players of 21 years old in your line up in Jr AA.

I RARELY post here but I wanted to tell you I think you did a great job.

Cherry was wrong. You stayed back in the net and gave them planty of room to do their moves and plenty of empty space to shoot at, then you made a goalie move to try and stop it.

Congrats on a once in a lifetime experience.
