Not to rain on the parade or anything but jeezus, people sound like Kovy just scored a game winner in the seventh game of the cup finals. Its just an all-star game, lets stop with ''he just proved all the haterz wrong'' crap.

Kovy's game and MVP award along with Ovechkin's and the crowds reaction after him getting caught checking out the 2 hotties on the jumbotron were the hi-lights of this game....

Im really happy for Kovy, he was really looking for that contest hoping to do well and even win it.. Kovy has his place in that kind of event there is no doubt, I was expecting him to do well and he certainly didnt desapoint anyone.. But lets not forget its an All Star game, it has nothing to do with a regular game.. Some people are really jumping the gun at the moment its rather funny to see.. Everyone is happy for the guy, in front of his own crowd, it was really special.. Now lets focus on the second half and the Stanley Cup playoffs before speculating on his next contract and all..

Exactly. Not that it has anything to do with a real game though... But lol to all the cry babies I have seen on just about every board whining about how Kovy didn't deserve to be there. The votes were there because a lot of us know that this is his kind of game, and we wanted to see him in it. Turns out, the voters and the crowd win this one.

Oh, and good to see Markov get on the sheet as well. The Ovechkin thing was amusing, and I still can't believe Chara beat the slapshot record. I, for once, certainly applauded his effort and what he does for that charity.

And Kovalev will sell the car he won and give the money to his foundation.

Knowing Kovy's personality, when he feels loved, there's nothing that can stop him, because he thrives on giving back, on and off the ice.
i agree with all of this

i rly rly expect a great second half

Did Kovy actually say he was going to sell the car for his charity? If so, very classy move! I loved this game, much more entertaining than expected and Kovy and the Habs did very well for themselves. Glad I tuned in!

Judging by your posts, you're simply the latter, definitely not a real Habs fan.

Love how the main board was filled with all those jerks who said Kovy had no business being there. Heres your sign

please it was the FN ASG (no hooking, no checking, zero defense), everything will be back to the norm on tuesday. did you not notice him sitting on the center line waiting for an out pass, he played no defense. when the real game starts up again he will be back to his lackadaisical self. in 2 weeks you will all be saying trade him before the deadline, he's useless.

I always liked Kovalev but I think you guys are being ridiculous. It was an All Star game! An All Star game has as much to do with hockey as a session of figure skating.

Get a grip on reality. When Kovy can be the playoff MVP then come gloat on these boards.

I gotta admit I was happy for Kovy.

.

We're not the only one impressed with Kovy, check out the Pens board, they're SURE he likes Pittsburgh more than Montreal and he'll be coming home this summer to play with Malkin.

PJ? Stock? Kovy defender?

PJ Stock is a punk who has been bashing Kovy and the Habs all season. It may be a *****cat on 110% but that's because he's among bigger idiots like JC and Marc Bureau. Listen to him on 990 and all he does is bash Kovy and his teammates. He's always like "Ah Kovalev, there are so many things going on in that dressing room that I can't tell you, but I'll tell you this, it's not good. Ah Kovalev!".
