Question about Montreal trading history

Just a question I was wondering the other day. DOn't know where to find the answer so I'm appealing to the Habs board.

Is there a team in the NHL right now we have never traded with? And if so, what teams have we never traded with?

Probably one of the newer expansion teams like the Thrashers and CBJs.

Hmmm...well off the top of my head I will try and think of a trade with each NHL team....

Boston Bruins - Weinrich for Traverse
Buffalo Sabres - Svoboda for Haller
Ottawa Senators - Dackell for an 8th rounder
Toronto Maple Leafs - Gilmour for a 6th rounder

Philadelphia Flyers - Recchi for Leclair, Desjardins, Dionne
Pittsburgh Penguins - Rod Schutt to Pittsburgh (they thought they had traded for Steve Shutt)
New Jersey Devils - Muller for Richer
New York Islanders - Turgeon for Muller
New York Rangers - Kovalev for Balej

Florida Panthers -
Atlanta Thrashers -
Carolina Hurricanes - Leighton for a 7th rounder
Tampa Bay Lightning - Tucker + for Ulanov +
Washington Capitals - Walter/Green for Langway/Jarvis

St. Louis Blues - Mark Hunter for draft pick
Chicago Blackhawks - Hackett/Weinrich for Tbo/Manson
Columbus Blue Jackets -
Detroit Red Wings - Pete Mahovlich (forgot what went the other way)
Nashville Predators - Petrov for a draft pick

Los Angeles Kings - Huet/Bonk for Garon
Dallas Stars - Audette trade or Riberio trade
Anaheim Ducks - Lebeau for Tugnutt
San Jose Sharks - Rivet for Pac/1st
Phoenix Coyotes - Savage for Berezin

Vancouver Canucks - Lumme for a draft pick
Calgary Flames - Leeman for Skrudland
Colorado Avalanche - Theodore for Aebisher (don't wanna bring up Roy)
Minnesota Wild - Dowd for a 5th rounder
Edmonton Oilers - Damphousse for Corson

Hmmm....can't think of one for Atlanta, Florida or Columbus. I'm pretty sure we have traded with Florida...and I think we have traded with Columbus. Atlanta, might be the only team we haven't traded with.

Here's a deal with the CBJ:

2000-06-23 Blue Jackets 2001 second round pick (#53-Kiel McLeod) Blue Jackets agreed to select Frederic Chabot from Canadiens in expansion draft trade with Canadiens

Our lone deal with ATL:

2000-06-02 Thrashers 2000 sixth round pick (#180-Darcy Hordichuk) Thrashers agreed to select Brett Clark in expansion draft trade with Canadiens

Never made a deal with FLA...we're due!

If I remember right Pete Mahovlich we got from Wings on waivers, not trade. We did make the big Frank Mahovlich trade with Wings though

Waivers, not a trade.

checked it out, just for fun...

"In June 1969, at the age of 23, the Canadiens in a trade acquired him for Garry Monahan and Doug Piper."

I didn't remember the trade myself, but curiosity made me look it up.
