Not everyone cares what Montreal is going to do.

I don't think they're going to do anything major, don't think they have to.

Trade a 2nd for Michael Ryder.

Then trade Ryder, Halak, and a 3rd for Lecavalier.

Then plan the parade.

All of these are garbage. Ottawa would never do the first one.

Toronto would never do the second one.

And Florida would never do the last one.

Dream on.

Probably nothing. They finished 1st in the conference last year and still sold off Huet.

I think Schneider would be a nice pickup, if they can fit him in under the cap.

There aren't really any gaping holes in their lineup, but to compete with the likes of San Jose and Detroit in a SCF, Gainey will need to make some bold moves.

The only people I could see them moving are higgins, plekanec, latendresse, O'Byrne maybe hamrlik and some drafts/prospects... contrary to popular belief they won't move gorges, tanguay, kostopoulos (because he has so much more value on the team than what anyone would give for him) d'agostini, pacioretti or either ****

but this is just my opinion

Why would Ottawa trade for a UFA defensman?
Hamrlik and Higgins for Kaberle? Leafs would get older and more contracts with this.
Florida gives up 2 of its best players for a mish mash of suck?

Youve been told this before, it has to work for both teams.

Same as last year. They will be active in chasing big names that will help their team but they'll end up with nothing because they aren't prepared to pay fair value or over value their 'trading assets' like Higgins.

Nice, I think I'll use that a bit, if you don't mind.

In another thread, you call Montréal sellers.
