Is Pouilot 100 % Healthy For the U20 Camp?

I have not heard anything about how Pouilot has been recovering from his stomach surgery in the spring.

It looks like a very competitive camp starting in Calgary in a few days, and I hope he has had a chance to do some conditioning to get ready for the opening next Thursday.

He had surgery in June to repair the abdominal injury from last year. Recovery time is right about up to now... he'll be taking it easy but the Oilers have spoken with Team Canada and they are aware of the situation. They'll be looking at him hard if he has a good start to the year with Rimouski and not so concerned with this summer camp.

Guy, if you had to guess - what do you think his chances are of making the team and what kind of roll do you think he would probably end up playing?

He's got experience on his side... not from the WJC last year but the U18 the year before and he was the best player Canada had then, hence why EDM drafted him. He's got a good chance, very good imo, if he can stay healthy.

ya, but do you he can only be there as a top six guy? I personaly don't see him as much of a checker - maybe he could make it as a fourth line type guy, but from all I've read and the little I've seen he looks like a guy who would have to be one of the top two centers.

His defensive game is very under-rated.

He constantly matched up with the oppositions first line last year, and the year before that when the team was terrible, he was playing 25-30 minutes per night, in all situations (this was from a poster on the prospects board about 5 or so months ago).

ya, I know -but does he have the grit - and does he play the style that would get him a third line/checking type role on a team.
