Renaud Lavoie: get your facts straight, dude!

He just did a segment on Sports 30, talking about how much success D'Agostini had with Koivu and Higgins back in December when D'Agostini had his hot streak.

He even interviewed D'Agostini about playing with those 2 again.

Huh Renaud, the line that had success was D'Agostini with Koivu and Andrei Kostitsyn. Higgins played one game with D'Agostini - the 1st game of his call-up against Buffalo. He only busted out the game after that with AK46 and Koivu.

It's not a big deal obviously, but it bugged me to see a ''pro journalist'' base his entire report on something that wasn't even accurate.

That's RDS. I don't think we'll ever get quality out of this channel.

Agreed. Lavoie dropped the ball on that one. Surely he most know that Higgins was out of the lineup for most of D'Agostini's presence with the team. Brain fart Renaud, brain fart.

On a side note, why do you, a mod, start a thread that you know will end in a bash fest?

Meh.

Even Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire get things wrong, and they know just about everything that's going on with Montreal.

Lavoie presents things however he wants to. When Gainey had the press conference stating he never inquired at all about Gaborik, Lavoie reported it that Gainey had ended talks with Minnesota and was now interested in Havlat (which was also a fabrication).

Yup, and i read the Journal de Montreal yesterday's newspaper and guess what..

Quote: "Sourray score in the first period with a magnifique wrist shot past JS Giguere" ..

then "Toews, at his first All Stars Game scored on Luongo in the 3rd".

So much for "La Ville est Hockey" reporters..

You two jokers do realize that the JdM is on lockout and that executives are writing this crap right? Just don't buy a newspaper that has its employees on lockout. Show some solidarity.
