"Idle Minds No Longer" 1/28/09 - Nashville @ Vancouver

@

Previous Meetings

November 4, 2008 - Vancouver 4 vs. Nashville 0 - Kyle Wellwood scored twice and Roberto Luongo turned aside 24 shots in his fourth shutout of the season, as the Canucks kick off the Predators' "West Coast Death March" in unpleasant fashion.
December 9, 2008 - Vancouver 3 @ Nashville 1 - Nashville and Vancouver combined for 70 penalty minutes, and Alexandre Burrows delivered a controversial hit on Jean-Pierre Dumont as the Canucks strolled to yet another win.
January 1, 2009 - Vancouver 2 @ Nashville 1 - Jason LaBarbera made his Vancouver debut in style, stopping 31 shots to give Vancouver the edge in the Canucks' final visit to Nashville this season.

Nashville Reason to Worry: The Predaotrs, desperately in need of a win, have scored just 8 goals in their last five contests. They won only one of those, a 2-0 shutout of the Maple Leafs

I predict a 5-3 Predators win. The Canucks are unlikely to win this game. I am cheering for an upset though!

I have to go uphill in snow and ice for all of my classes. Happiness is as much of an afterthought for me as Jed Ortmeyer.

In live in NY, my "I give a damn" is broke. My new "I give a damn" is in shipping but the truck is stuck in the foot of snow we got here in NY.

Both teams are slumping but Canucks are desperate. They have to (and will) win.

Upper body injury for Sulzer (left arm/shoulder/collar bone) will not return tonight. Belak has to hold Hordy accountable for that hit.

I wonder if we will keep up this 3 man/ man on man forecheck that has caused all of the iceings. Kind of feels like a trap at the goalline.
