Which player would you take?

Given the teams current situation and considering strengths and weaknesses, which player would you choose to improve the team (salary cap is not an issue, as this is fantasy.)

I would give my left arm for Rick Nash. He's so sick and unbelievable.

Tough one. The best I can do is select one or two from each position and widdle it down from there:

Forwards: Zetterberg or Iginla, tremendous scoring forwards with tons of leadership and experience
Defense: Weber or J-Bo, I'd probably prefer Weber given that he's a bit more physical and I believe younger and with a higher ceiling
Goalie: Luongo is probably my choice, although with a better defensive coach/system I think our goalies look better than they do this year.

I really can't pick just one.

Goalie is most important.

Tim Thomas is fun to watch, but maybe someone younger would be better.

Tough one, I'll have to think about this during class tonight.

**** my school for canceling AM classes and not PM classes.

Mine was the opposite. It was open all day until they just decided to cancel evening classes.

Luckily, I cancelled classes for myself anyway.

Brodeur, Luongo, some sort of top notch goalie.

After that I'd take Ovechkin. Should help out our inability to score at even strength.

I'd have to go with a franchise goalie. Lundqvist would be my choice.

But seriously, I would have to say Kiprusoff. He is a been there, done that kinda guy that always shows up in the playoffs.

Oh, yeah, I would kinda take Ovechkin too, lol.

In total fantasy

Ovechkin, Shea Weber (or JayBo, or Phanuef) and Henrik Lundy.

Age obviously is a huge factor in making these decisions.

Wouldn't matter. Biron>Osgood.

Lidstrom-Coburn
Timonen-Vaananen
Carle-Alberts

Lidstrom=Lidstrom
Timonen>Rafalski
Coburn*>Kronwall
Vaananen=/>Stuart
Carle>Lilja
Chelios=Alberts

*When Coburn plays like we know he can, how he played last season, and he'd play even better than last season paired with Lidstrom.

Kronwall is better than or equal to coburn right now.

Alberts is better than Chelios

But yea you have to be happy knowing that going into the playoffs one of Timonen or Lidstrom would be on the ice at all times, if not together!

Phaneuf always looked to me like he was born to wear a flyers jersey.

I'd take Steve Mason.

He solves our current goaltending issue, and he solves the future.

Kiprusof, Phaneuf, or Ovechkin

if I can only choose one, Kipper. I'd say adding a grade A goalie along those lines would make us cup contenders in ANY discussion.
