Anyone else see that goal and immediately have the clip from last season's playoff game in Detroit when Zanon skates by Hasek and yells, "Five-hole, Five-hole, Five-hole..."?

Great pass by Tootoo to get the puck over to Wardo standing in front of the net.

I loved seeing Weber just completely knock down Johnson.....awesome......it should have been a penalty......but it was still awesome.

Too bad our forwards don't know to rotate out to cover.

One thing that has really irked me about Sullivan tonight is twice I have seen him just skate by the puck and give up possesion when he knew he was gonna get hit. I can't say I blame him. Hell, if I was him I'd probaly do the same thing, but if he wants to be a NHL player for a few more years he's gonna have to learn to take a hit again. Lord knows he isn't gonna stay around for his defensive prowess. I realize this is small compared to alot of our other problems it's just annoying the **** out of me.

The conundrum that is Barry Trotz's system can be summed up in one player:

David Legwand

He is required to be John Madden defensively, but is expected to be a ppg offensive catalyst at the same time.

I'm sorry, it simply does not work both ways unless you are a rare, special talent..... I could go through this with practically every player.

Those are the kind of hits he used to make to get the puck that probably caused a lot of his problems in the first place.

At least on a line with Dumont and Arnott where a lack of hitting won't stand out.

Our ****** tv announcers don't even notice that Jones tipped that puck down to create the rebound in the first place...nice

Trotz, for some inane reason, has taken Weber off the number 1 powerplay unit. Obviously, this means we score a powerplay goal....unbelievable.

Wait. I've seen that powerplay before. Sometime...somewhere...several years ago. Nearly forgot how good it felt to gain control of the puck, move it quickly from side to side and have Arnott hammer one home from his spot. I like it, I love it [sing along at home]

True, but you can't just skate by the puck when it looks like your gonna get hit. I mean one time he didn't even attempt to play the puck.

Love Sully, but eventually he is gonna have to face his fears with taking hits if he wants to prolong his NHL career.

It just made too much damn sense to put Arnott on the left point where he has had sucess before. We had to be stubborn and wait till we are desperate to try it out.

Getting a lot of opportunities tonight working the puck from low to high. Whenever we are able to gain possession deep in the Vancouver end the Canucks are sagging off the points and giving us a lane to get the puck out to our defense. Gotta take advantage of those opportunities more often and have our defensemen concentrating on shooting to create, rather than burying their heads and blasting one-timers off shins. Get the shots through to the net, keep them low, forwards gotta get traffic to the net and either generate some deflections or put away some of the pucks that Luongo has been leaving in his feet all night long.
