Just curious. I don't want the Pens to trade the best player in the world to Montreal for anybody. But some Habs fans have been asking us Pens fans what it would take to get Geno, so I'm presenting the same question to all of you.
What do you think you would have to give up to get Geno?
Definately would Have Markov or even Komi in there, Subban would be in that deal, a few first rounders. Think of the Lecavalier Rumors but x10 magnitude
Malkin is like 5 year old less than Vinny and he is already better...
A Malkin-Kovalev duo would be explosive as well, we saw it in the ASG.
If people thought we would need to sell our Team to Get Vinny, and if you look at the offer Pens gave for Hossa, just imagine how much we'd have to offer. Malkin is interesting, and I'd love to have him here, but we'd sink our own boat by trading for him.

Why do you bother starting a thread like this? Pittsburgh is not moving Malkin or Crosby, why waste time talking about it?
The most frustrating thing about all of this is the Penguins got him for free.....
The reason I respect the Penguins is because of Mario. I loved him as a player, and I think he is doing an OK job as an owner. He deserves players like Malkin, Crosby, Gonchar after playing with such heart, integrity and spirit like he did. Hes a great Role model and he got the break he deserves.

IMO, Malkin is the second best foward in the NHL after Ovechkin, so we would have to give alot.. Something like Markov and the Kostitsyn brothers..
this is a useless post, that's going to turn into a pissing match, plz lock thnx
Well since we as posters don't have control over any of the decisions the Habs make. You could say that most of the threads here are useless.
Even though personally I can't see Malkin getting moved. I think it's a fair question.
As for the OP, it's very hard to gauge what it would take for Montreal to obtain Malkin. I'd have to take a closer look at the Penguins needs before making a decision. But after seeing the rumours of what it would take to get Vinny. The price for Malkin would probably be way out of Gainey's range.
