Your suggestion to me was to ignore you if I didn't like what you had to say. Maybe you should ignore the eklund threads or those posts about *****ing?
I have ignored the Eklund threads. I've ignored them for quite a while now. In fact, I use the "ignore thread" feature that HF graciously put in place several months back so that users who didn't like a thread or a particular topic or "don't want to be forced to read it" could click on a box near the name of the person that started the thread, click "Yes" on the prompt, and never be forced to see that thread again. I even use it for [gasp!] non-Eklund threads - because it works on those, too!

I guess you were too busy not paying attention and too busy assuming you knew what I was doing to notice what I was actually doing.

I'd keep this up for days knowing that you'd just keep responding, but that's not fair to everyone else here. Since you apparently cannot control yourself and put me on ignore but instead feel compelled to respond to any post I make here, I'll put you on ignore instead.

First off, Zetterberg is the better overall player than Lecavalier. Secondly, Henrik's contract is a cap hit of 6.08, while Vinny's is 7.727. Big difference.

No, the Red Wings have about $48,916,667 allocated for next season, depending on who you want to count. I count the 17 players on a 1-way contract for next season; one of the Red Wings fans can list them if they want.
Well how am I supposed to find cap information if www.nhlnumbers.com is wrong? Their site is so user-friendly and has a great design.

I don't know if Z is an overall better player, but the cap hit definitly helps the contract.

Z will be our captian eventually.

WTF
because that is a real home town discount, just like JT in SJ. NOT like Malkin and Crosby. Not saying its wrong of them, just stating the facts.

So you value how a site looks higher than it having the correct data?

Interesting point of view ...

Well, I'd post the disclaimer that nhlnumbers has - but apparently it's been changed. Probably to hide the fact that it used to be this:

Quote:
The numbers listed in this site are not entirely accurate. Sources for these numbers are listed further down this page. If there are any discrepancies, please relay any questions/suggestions to me. This site is meant for a quick and dirty look at each team's cap figure. Please take the info with a grain of salt.
which was edited from this:

Quote:
The salaries listed are either 100% accurate, estimations or rounded figures. This site is meant for a quick and dirty look at each team's cap figure. Please take the info with a grain of salt. For a more accurate and in-depth look, please check out Irish Blues Home Page.
which still can't cover up the fact that it can't post accurate information regardless of the sources it uses. I mean, it speaks volumes when you post a disclaimer saying "hey - I've got a bunch of stuff here, but it's not real accurate ... go to this other site that I get my information from to get real, accurate information because I'm too lazy to get it right myself!"

Then again, it speaks volumes when places like EA Sports, 2K Sports, and Rinknet look at both sites and decide to come to me for information because they know my information is much more accurate.

Lol but Ovechkin is also signed at $9.5M a year.
Zetterberg will be just $6M.

That is pretty sneaky........there is no way he is going to be worth 6 million when he is 36-40 but he is worth about 8 million now soooo I guess it serves the purpose they wanted........they will have room for one of Hossa and Franzen now

I still think they will lose one for sure and spend some money on a new goalie

Cap hit is not the same as yearly salary. Unfortunately, there are some who still think that the two are the same.
