i'd trade Randy Jones for this guy:

http://lightning.nhl.com/team/app?pa...3&service=page

the dude hits like a freight train; has good speed for a big man; he has soft hands and decent offensive skills, and he will drop the gloves!!!

gotta be king henrik. i might go for chara or pronger if they were younger, since i absolutely love their games.

a great goalie can cover up a ******** of deficiencies.

Lundqvist

I'd want a franchise goalie and he's the best combination of age, talent, and consistent performance.

You could easily say a guy like Price or Mason but they just haven't done it long enough to be a sure thing.

Brodeur and Luongo are better but they're both significantly older.

Not to mention, if we got Henrik, it's a double bonus since the Rags won't have him anymore

Brodeur is still the most valuable individual player in the league, followed closely by Ovechkin. I can't see how they wouldn't be 1-2 or 2-1 on anyone's list. Chara would be awesome on the blue line, his PK skills would not only help the Flyers kill penalties but make them tougher and more brazen in general.

Pure fantasy?

Alex Ovechkin - who wouldn't want this guy?
Alex Edler - he's having a terrible year, so maybe he'd be cheap.
Zbynek Michalek - I love watching this kid.
Dustin Brown - tough as nails and a great leader already.

To help the Flyers get over the hump this season?

Chris Pronger - if he's available, I'd do it.
Brendan Witt - every Islander is available; if you can't get Pronger, might as well get the toughest available guy out there.

The reason I didn't list a goalie: I love Biron and there's no other guy I want between the pipes when the boys lift the Cup.

i'd love to see dion phaneuf wearing #3 for the orange and black.

though it always seems like the flyers will only go as far as their goalie will take them. take last year for instance... biron was average/slightly above average against the crapitals and the flyers barely edged that series out. the series against montreal he practically stood on his head and was amazing all series. then against the penguins he was average (at best) and we got hosed.

so basically what im saying if this team has a legit #1 the sky's the limit how far they can go. if brodeur is healthy you cant not go with him based on his track record

Lundqvist and Phaneuf. Dustin Brown would be somewhere nearby, too.
