I wonder if Carbonneau will say that this is the worst game he's ever coached.....it's gotta be a contender.

I think a team made up of HFboarders playing for free would have put more effort into this game. Have the players given up on Carbo? Is there some sort of dysfunction in the locker? I was expecting a dominant team this season, not this.

At this point the Pooins aren't of any concern, we have to fight to secure a home ice advantage.

You know it's bad when the players who are on bad teams that we want to trade from are beating us.

Who cares about Boston, with Florida's win now we are only 6 points ahead of them and to being 8th in the playoff race.

TK has been less than stellar these past couple games. Not his fault, he belongs on the fourth line.

I think the problem is that we have a lot of average players playing a much bigger role than they should (TK, Gorges, etc.). These players are probably exhausted right now and it shows because they were the only one who were trying in the first place.

I wonder what Price said in the locker room... Apparently he was extremely pissed off.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say the focus can now shift away from Boston - we aint gonna come close to that prize. Time to refocus on making the damn playoffs!

This game showed we need a 1st line centre with size and offence, and that we need D help even worse than I thought.

Pleks is awful to watch this year, sorry but his days are numbered.

It's clear that this team needs work. They're not trying at all right now. Sure, the team can turn it around and be world beaters with all this talent. BUT this team has not looked great at any point past October. Minor issues have become bigger ones. Gainey's inaction is reaching its breaking point.

We have too many players worried about their own ass or just not inspired enough to play for this team. Mistakes and defensive zone coverage are brutal.

-The trade rumours have shaken up the players badly. Gainey either needs to make a trade or reassure his players of their position on the team.
-Expiring contracts are another issue. The guys are not playing out of their mind like Malone did to get a bigger contract. It looks like the pressure of playing for new contract in Montreal out of all places during its centennial season has gotten to them.

It's just not working, and I don't think this is a self-fix problem. The team doesn't need an overhaul, but it needs a magic hand. BOB!!!!!

I lol'ed. Then I sighed. Then I cried. Seriously, SOME points would have been nice during this stretch against those teams. Sigh. Cry.

His point is except for a little hot stretch, this team has been putrid!
We are a borderline playoff team at best. Absolutely zero consistency.

When things go bad for teams, the first place they look at is the coach....not in Montreal, the first thing they look at is trading players.

It's what 3 years Carbo is coach and we keep having the same lazy issues on this team. Players change, but the mentality stays the same.

Mentality comes from behind the bench, start with that, then we'll start looking at trading players. As a gm looking in at our team, I wouldn't want any of our players.

No because we should make the playoffs regardless.

Take a look at the playoff picture in the East - it is really only 10 teams competing for 8 playoff spots. We gotta be really unlucky to miss the post-season.
