Thanks but I think you have/had The "V" flex not "T" flex. Hope to here from you soon.

Main stick is a CCM V110 (I think). It was an expensive stick on sale at a good price. Jason Allison curve. Not a bad stick, almost too stiff for my liking though. My back up is an old Drury (love that curve!) pattern Easton Synergy (the old silver with black on it). This is a 100 or 85 flex I think. The heal of the blade has a small crack in it, so that is why it is my backup stick.

For those that are using the S17 - Are you impressed with it? benfits/drawbacks.....? I want to try one out, but don't like the price tag. It doesn't make sense for me to dish out over $250 or $300 for a stick.

I prefer a rounded blade tip, not squared off, and love the Drury pattern curve.

Any news on any sticks that will not be made after this year, therefore chance of clearing them out at any of the hockey shops? I spend literally over an hour picking out a stick I like. My local Perani's here in Windsor has a great selection, and usually great pricing too.

I got one for free. Yes, it kicks like a mofo when you're shooting. Sadly, the durability was very suspect. That oval taper near the blade didn't seem to hold up well. Performance was great, durability not so much.

The blade will wear out relatively quickly. I doubt it would last over 40 games, but it could. It's not made for slapshots either, by the way.

Is there a more reasonably priced stick out there that has good kick to it, that would be similar to the S17, or something close to it? The V110 CCM is too stiff, but I still do not mind it. I'll use it for now.

Also.... regarding quality. Is there much difference between your "price point" sticks, versus the "high end" sticks? I like a light stick with quite a bit of "whip".

Best stick ever made. I can't play with anything else. I tried to play with a new composite twig but just have no feel for it. Plus I love me that banana curve.

my stick

My current stick of choice is a Sherwood PMP 5030. I do love it. I am still partial to Christian brand sticks , but where I am I can't find any anymore. So I tried the Sherwood. I also liked the PMP 7000 as well. Just the pro shop was out of them . So I went with the 5030. It is a great stick .

So I had been using a Vapor XXX, then an Easton SL grip, then a Vector 10.0, then a Vapor XXXX. I loved the XXX, broke too many Eastons, broke the V10.0 and couldn't find the curve I wanted after that, and than owned 4 XXXXs. Like I said earlier in the thread, I just got the One95. It's BY FAR (like miles and miles) the best stick I have ever used in my life. Like with the XXX and XXXXs I'm using a Naslund curve, 87 flex, but I can feel the whip so much more with this stick and I have SUCH a better feel for the puck. Every aspect of my stickhandling and shooting has seemed better too me since I started using this stick; wristshots, slapshots, backhanders, dangles. Everything. Love it.

Currently, I have 4 sticks. I'm a lefthanded player also

1. RBK Sickick 7k Stiff Flex 100 (was Kris Beech's)
2. NikeBauer One70 PM9 102 Flex
3. NikeBauer Vapor XXX Lite 2piece (was Trevor Letowski's)
4. Easton Synergy (blue) Composite (was Josef Melichar's)

I bought the Sickick and Synergy for $80 each at the Pittsburgh Penguins stick sale at the end of the season. Also i bought the Vapor XXX for $40 at the Columbus Blue Jacket's stick sale.

TPS R2 with a Nash curve. Not really exactly what I like, I like more loft in the curve(I went from using Sakic, to Coffey...then to Nash.) but I wanted to try and get away from using such a drastic curve to focus on making my stickhandling better. The R2 was the only one piece in my budget, $75. I've got a CCM Vector SE with a Lindros curve but that's just incase I break the TPS. I'd probably buy a new stick right after if/when I break the TPS.

I don't think I can find it anywhere if it breaks...but it's pretty tough.

I'm just trying not to break any sticks until after the current NHL Season. I'm hoping the Pens have another stick sale. 80 bucks for a Pro Stock stick is a helluva deal.

And thats why I love being lefty. haha

The last time they did it was in aroudn June or July. They made an announcement on their website about the equipment sale.

They had numerous player sticks of everybody (Crosby/Malkin etc were gone in seconds), hockey pants, helmets, jerseys. However, you have to get there really early to get some good stuff.

I went down simply just to get myself a new stick. Bought a Kris Beech and Josef Melichar stick down there. Figured both left a ton of goals in it. Been the best purchase for me, i love my RBK Sickick (Beech)

There are certain teams that have gear sales at their arenas. Maybe some other people can help, but i know that Columbus and Buffalo have equipment sales at the arena.
