Sedins's signed to 4r 20M each
for
P Sharp, C Barker, T Brouwer

Of course @ that price, I'm sure VCR would easily match and they stay.

what do you mean. The leafs have nothing but cap space. They could fit both of them easily if they wanted to

Absolutely agree with this guy. The only thing the girls might be better at is cycling together, but that's where "better" stops.

And a side note..

Don't be shocked if a up and coming team that's looking for top 6 scoring makes a big offer for these two, and don't be surprised if they take it.

I remember a few months ago on here a Kings fan honestly claiming the Sedins would be 3rd liners on LA.

Hopefully the Sedins time has run out in Vancouver.

It's time for a change.

That and the reason they are 2nd liners on most Teams makes them almost useless for other Teams.
So, dear Nucks fans... try to accept that you get absolute nothing for them.
They will resign for a rediculous number or will be gone after the Season.
Bad Luck for you

Hey, dear Kings fan... Guess what? No!

The Sedins have value seperatly as rental players and that would probably be the best option.

To say the Sedin's can ONLY play together is absurd... You put Daniel on Malkin's wing you think he won't produce? Pfft.. Of course he will.

Toss Henrik in with a star winger and he'll playmake up the assists as well.

Should be able to get an attractive prospect and a first for each one traded seperate.. Daniel is on pace for 35 goals, I think a team like Pitts would be very interested in acquiring him as a rental should they turn things around...

Maybe some people on these forums are delusional.
Danny on pace for 35+ goals.
Hank on his usual pace.

not 1st line players?, Read up in this thread for some of the big names that are behind them in goals and points.

Why do people still hate on the sedins around the nhl its beyond me.

FWIW, our GM has stated that he has his doubts about the Sedins being players he would want to build the team around. So it's possible a deal like this might interest him.

That said, I can't see Chicago being too interested in the twins, as the skillsets don't really mesh all that well.

The only complaint I have about the Sedins is they take dumb penalties sometimes, but I guess that goes for the whole team.

Sedins would have good value separately as rentals. Together I dont think so.

If a team thinks they need to add two first line players to compete they arent a contender, they're a disaster.

Am I the only one who finds their reluctance to separate a tad childish? I mean I know they have good chemistry together, but certainly their good enough that if needed, and provided that they had just as good linemates, they could succeed on their own.

I could see a tweener wanting to be come a cup favourite by making a move like that. I won't throw out specifics, but a 4-8 seed, if they need to go for it, why not? Maybe part of their top 6 comes the other way to make it work. Probably unlikely.

My only problem with the Sedins is they go as a package. Not many teams are going to be willing to throw that much jack at a package deal. I think that hurts their value and why they may end up staying in Vancouver until the end of the season and seeing what teams are interested in restructuring their whole team to bring in two forwards for around $12M a season. The Thrashers, Predators, Islanders, and Leafs could come into play, but the best fit is still Vancouver. I would love to see the Sedins shuffle off to any where but Vancouver, but I think that's at best a 50/50 proposition.

If the Sedins were willing to talk extension with FLA and Bouw was willing to negotiate with us..

D Sedin, H Sedin, Edler, Raymond, 2nd

For

Horton, Bouwmeester, 1st

Raymond is someone I could see doing much better in the SE, though it would still be a risk/reward type thing. Ideally this would happen sometime after the season.

Wow, good proposal! That is pretty balanced and could actually work for both teams.

Demitra-Horton-FA
FA-Hodgson-Grabner
Burrows-Kes-insert one of our many 3rd liners here.

With Bouw on the point I think we'd do just as good as we are now. Especially if the rumors are true about Gaborik considering signing here, throw him in the 1st line FA slot and we'd be alright. I know I may be completely off the map thinking Hodgson and Grabner could both produce solid #s in their first full seasons, but I think it's not entirely impossible if they get the right guy for LW.

Seriously, Horton would go a long way to filling that hole. Plus the Canucks would have some bucks to go shopping to fill the hole with some lesser players.
