I really don't hate those line....If you look at it carefully you got two young guns with our "best" center who can get the puck along the board. Next line you got a GTA line wich seems to be a good idea....The line is just a one player modification from the old Higgins-pleck-A.K. line. And IMO, as of right now, Tender is more useful than Higgins....I really think plecky can pick it up with 2 big guys.

For the two other lines I dont know what to think about but as Sergei is a great feeder, he could do a nice job with kovy

Anyway it couldnt be worst than last game....I hope...

For a second there I thought it said Pac Koivu A.Kosty but then I saw it was D'Ago. Please try A.Kosty with Koivu for little, comon Carbo you know you want to!

S. Kostitsyn - Lang - Kovalev et Bégin

No sure about this one
I actually like these lines. The Koivu (who played well last night, IMO) with the two kids who are actually bringing some energy and hard work!

Higgins, Lapierre could form a formidable duo together... but why TKO on RW and not Gui? (Higgy-Lappy-Gui! makes much more sense to me)

Pleks and AK46 back together could make sense as well (although I've never understood why the Higgins-Pleks-Akost line was never tried again from a few years ago)

I actually think these lines are a move in the right direction, it will be interesting to see what comes from the shake-up. People will say that breaking Max and Gui up is a terrible idea due to their recent chemistry, but SOMETHING has to be done. This team is in desperate need of a boost.

I wonder who starts in goal? I want to see Price jump right back in, but I think giving him the Boston game sends him a better message that he's still our man (last night was not his fault in the least).

Maybe Carbo should teach and install a system instead of taking lottery balls and making line changes after every loss. I am beginning to question his ability to be a teacher/motivator. The team plays with no emotion or game plan. It was great last year with the PP winning many games but this year with an average at best PP not winning any games, the team needs to play a style. Obviously the run/gun outscore the opposition isn't gonna work. When your perimeter players fill most of the top 9 spots and don't have much drive then this is what we get. Carbo just hopes that talent will win out but a team that gets constantly outshot and outplayed by bottom teams can not consider themselves a top team. Yes they beat some of the good/great teams but have no consistency and don't just lose close games to the bottom teams but actually get embarrassed by these teams. If a NJ/BOS/SJ/DET/ get beat they at least make it a close game with effort.
Sadly this team has tooooo many soft perimeter players with no work ethic. They turn the other cheek and when the going gets tough they hide. This team will not go far as long as they have Lang/Kovy/Kost bros/Tang/Pleks/ in the top 9. Some of them yes but not all

Like somebody said already....it's not like we shouldn't touch at something that works....nothing does. Would've kept Lappy and Lats together probably adding them D'Ago but Carbonneau wants to change it more....so be it....it better worked.

Its typical Carbo.
Throw all the names into a hat, and see what comes out of it.
There are some nice combo's there:
Higgins and Lapierre- No one works harder than max so it could rub off on on Higgns.

lol if you smack together both Kovalev and Begin's assets, they would make for one hell of a player!

Laraque is hurt. And he's not allowed to fight anybody anymore because of the code.

It sucks that he won't be in the lineup, there would have probably been a great fight between him and Ivanans.

Ivanans wouldn't want to go through the paper work to get Laraque to sign off on a fight.

Koivu with 2 rookies. I enjoy watching Koivu help our younger players, but I would rather he be spending that time working on his own game. Leave the coaching to the coaches.

SK74 - Koivu - Dags
Lats - Laps - Patches
Higs - Plek - Ak46
Kosto - Lang - Kovalev

I'm smarter than Carbo

This is when things go bad, sorry such drastic changes show panic on Carbo's end and from Gainey as well.

You can juggle a line or two, but not all four.

Don't worry, if Ivanans wants to fight, Kostopoulos will be there to be his punching bag .

Didn't want to start a new thread to flame on Plekanec, but is it true he is pointless in 7 games? I just checked quickly and don't think i missed anything.
