Dan Hamhuis

Since there are rumors that he's being shopped and he seems to be a hot commodity for proposals around here lately, I figured a central "make your offer" thread would be fun stuff.

Nashville needs scoring help NOW, or at the very least someone who will be ready to contribute next season at the latest. Not interested in spare parts, average prospects, or really even draft picks. In fact, feel free to add in our draft picks to sweeten the deal. There are relatively low-value pieces that can be thrown in to those teams that might need a little veteran help (DeVries and Bonk, in particular). Some of our prospect defenseman might also be included, though it's our preference that Jonathan Blum be excluded.

So let's hear them!

I think he's untouchable.
So while his value may be very high, it's also very imaginary.

I don't think he's untouchable at all. He was finally eclipsed by Suter this year, and with Sulzer NHL ready, Klein looking like he belongs and Blum and Franson in the pipeline, I think the Preds can afford to let him go to fill a bigger need.

Looking at Nashvilles stats you have to figure that Poni would be tied for third in points and second in goals for the entire team. Antropov would be first in points and tied for second in goals. Nashville is having a real hard time scoring goals and are very deep defensively , so a deal between the two teams makes sense. And I know that a lot of fans don't think that Blake has any value , with his age and contract length of his contract, but Jason would be leading the entire Nashville team in points and tied for goals with Arnott.

While that may be true, I think it speaks more for the system and the fact that every line has at least one drain on it. The Predators are last in goals scored, but it's not for lack of scorers...it's the way they're being paired with Jordin Tootoo and Vernon Fiddler.
