What happened to the Baltimore Bandits?

Back in 94-96 Baltimore had a team called the Baltimore Bandits. I think one of our years we went deep into the playoffs. Unforunately, baltimore is not a hockey town whatsoever, so they moved to become the Cincinnati Ducks.

Now I've been out of it for awhile, so who did the Cincinnati Ducks turn into? Are they still the farm team for Anaheim?

I believe the old Baltimore Bandits are now the Rockford IceHogs.... the Bandits moved to Cincinnati for 1997-98 and then suspended operations after the 2004-05 season and was supposed to be revived as the Cincinnati Roadrailers or so but was moved to Rockford for 2007-08... so there ya have it.. hope that help ya....

Baltimore have a history of many minor league-teams, not many have been successful but they do have a history.

ANA went to POR and is now in Iowa and Sharky's correct, caps, the main issue is why there isn't the 1-1 AFFILIATION as Centre Events bought the Ducks/RailRaiders to affiliate w/ Chicago, (Tampa went to NOR, & EDM landed in SPR).

There are rumors of either rebuilding 1st Mariner Arena, but I doubt you'll ever see hockey back in BAL...

Well I can tell you this... we NEED to knock that dinosaur down and build an arena somewhere else. Honestly it was built back in the 60s and it just flat out sucks. Maybe if we get a new arena than we can see some AHL hockey, but not any time soon.

The team became the Ducks. The ducks folded. Anaheim (Portland) and Detroit (Grand Rapids) moved their affiliations but the license to operate an AHL team remained with the owners. Those owners then sold the license to operate the team to Rockford so that Rockford could become the AHL affiliate of the Blackhawks. Anaheim dumped portland and moved their affiliation to Iowa this year.
