A 2nd is a stretch but a 3rd is realistic.
ummm... nor you, or I, know what was going on in his head when he signed a one year deal... nor do we know whether or not burke made the call for bert to rearend moore in vancouver...

there is very little that we know about that situation, regardless of media outlets.

either way,

I think Burke trades Moore instantly if he is offered a 2nd. Anything less he'll probably keep him.

He's just one of those guys who can put up some points if he's given tons of minutes and PP time, but he's always going to be pushed out of the line-up on good teams.
I agree with this. And my guess is that this is how he is perceived around the league. Toronto is better off just keeping him.

He's a favourite in Toronto, unless a team overpays he is staying.

Overpayment for Moore would be a high to mid 2nd.

Yeah I think if it's a pick in the top 50 the Leafs will deal him. Otherwise I think he stays. For those who don't watch the Leafs that are in disbelief, Chad Kilger got us a 3rd last year. Moore is like a better, more productive version of Kilger.

man you continue to make the worst suggestions. That's way more then he's worth. He's definately been great for the leafs but is not even close to being worth 2.2 million a year.

chad kilger could atleast play a 3rd/4th line role and be effective...as others have said moore is posting career numbers because he is playing major minutes...on many teams he is a 3rd or 4th liner who isn't a real grinder.

i compare him to metro, he put up solid numbers last yr w/ the bruins because they were riddled w/ injuries and he was able to get major minutes but this season playing behind richards and carter he is what he is.

Yeah, because they don't know what the F they're talking about.

Like I already posted, he's been our third line centre all year, behind Stajan and Grabovski, and he's 10th amongst Leaf forwards in power play ice time, 15th overall.

He's not playing "major minutes."

I really cannot see the Leafs moving him. Would not be surprised to see the C on his jersey next year. He is a great guy to have on a young rebuilding team.

Thrilled to see Moore doing so well in Toronto. Not sure how much trade value he would have though, as he is basically a role player with very little playoff experience. I would though love to see him get a long playoff, run as long as it doesn't come at the Rangers dispense.

Everybody's assuming he'll resign, but Moore's having a really good year and may want to test free agency... Might make sense for Leafs to trade him and get something for him rather than letting him go for nothing. 3rd rounder is likely, but 2nd is not out of the question.

Moore is a good player with alot of heart & decent skill, I always hated that the Rangers traded him, I can see him moving around alot in his career because he is the type of guy who has vaule at the trade deadline that can help a team in a variety of ways & isn't to expensive to obtain.

He would be stupid to leave just to go after the money. He has a good thing going in Toronto and he should just be happy he has a role with the team.

As a Leafs fan I would not miss Moore one bit. He's no where near as good as everyone in Toronto seems to think.

I think he is finally emerging into a great player. Hard worker, great hands and speed, checks, plays in front of the net. A mid 2nd next year.
